Latency fixes coming for Northrend, Naxx
Although I haven't experienced it so much myself recently (fingers crossed), many players have been complaining about high latency both in Northrend and in the various Northrend raids (especially the Heroic versions). I have had Grizzly Hills especially (for some reason) get so bad with the lag spikes that I just logged off for an hour, but that was back in the first few weeks of Wrath.
Apparently, the outdoor Northrend lag has been caused by Wintergrasp battles. There is a "server-side fix" (which I read as hot fix) in testing on internal realms at Blizzard, and Eyonix tells us that they hope to be able to patch up the live realms "in the near future" (which I hope is sooner than "Soon™").
As for Naxxramas, we are informed that there are optimizations in the pipe for it, and that those will be coming in 3.0.8 (which I personally predict for next Tuesday). These optimizations will, allegedly, help both latency and disconnects. Are disconnects a big problem in Naxx? I'm not sure I've seen any.

When I first heard about the theory of Wintergrasp causing the lag, I couldn't help but wonder "Is this a conspiracy theory spread by the Horde to keep us away from Wintergrasp so they'll have less competition?" Well, apparently it turned out to be true enough.
I have experienced the lag in Naxxramas. Most of the time, it wasn't bad enough to keep us from progressing through the encounters, but it was definitely annoying as hell. At one point, my latency raised to about 1000, and we got owned by a boss shortly before we downed it. I've also seen most of my guild- and friendlist go offline all of sudden (except the ones in Naxxramas :P) The lag made "General - Naxxramas" chat go insane, with some funny comments:
"Okay, if this lag doesn't stop soon, I'll call Blizz HQ right away!"
"The lag is here to compensate for the easy encounters."

I have problems with getting disconnected from time to time in 25-man raids (usually during a boss fight) and large Wintergrasp battles. I've experimented with my settings and addons, but disabling everything doesn't help at all.
Sometimes I can't even seem to get back in to the game during the battles. The loading screen will finish then boot me back to the login screen. And my latency, as reported by the game, is always low, yet I can tell when I'm probably about to get disconnected because my spells will start to take longer to cast.
All this time, I assumed it was a problem with my ISP, but now I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Yeah the construct quarter has at least 3 bosses that don't have loot and dont seem to have enrage timers:
1) the frogger boss
2) the pipe boss
3) the worst boss of them all, the lag boss..
Sadly tho there's no way to stop the lag boss, or stop it from following you through the instance..
One place that has, maybe, worse lag then naxx though is 25man sarth. Trying to kill him with any amount of drakes up is impossible with the lag that's been going on there. the other night it was "Kill one drake, lag right into a firewall, hope your screen stops looking like a screen shot to see if your alive" .. or my favorite " see a void zone, move from voidzone, die 20 seconds later to same voidzone that your now no where near"
Honestly on my server there hasn't been a lot of outdoor lag at all, mostly just crazy instance lag every where.

Wintergrasp, eh?
Once again the accursed PvP crap is causing problems for the rest of the game.
Damn PvP, move it to it's own servers and leave the rest of us the hell alone!

They should add Dalaran to that list. The lag there is pretty bad.

on 25man thaddius. a couple seconds of lag after a polarity switch is an almost assured wipe.
it really really sucks.

All I can say is thank goodness. ER is a pile of steaming lag with most guilds raiding tues/thur/sun, 4sec casts on non-intensive bosses and 12sec casts on thad, or missing the switch on him is just painful.
Even the server in general was lag-tastic, with 2second casts while out and about in the general world. I'm looking forward to the fixes so I might be able to enjoy myself.

EU - Emerald dream. We are running Naxx-25 one shooting every boss till HUGE LAG and DC sessions appear (Loatheb, Four Horsemen unplayable after 5-10sec into the fight). This is taking place 2 weeks now making impossible for us to proceed into the instance. This is getting more and more frustrating when you see other guilds’ runs proceeding quite smooth without any lag at all (as they say at least on instance channel in chat). Hope Blizzard will release the hotfixes ASAP if we want to see a beam of light at the other end of the tunnel.

Hehe, we beat patchwerk on heroic even though every single one of our healers d/c'd at least once that fight. Some twice. As did all our top dpsers 1-6 times. . . .however, we quit at Grobbulous, d/cing bombs are bad. . .
So yes, the Sunday before patch 3.08 raiding was impossible. These were people (12 of the 25 of us) who had never d/c'd in a raid before, d/cing every single boss fight. Often for the entire fight. Our webstats one player was running recorded only 18 people present for the Heigan fight :-p. The rest were d/c'd.
