Developers have the right to experiment and make changes as they see fit. However, they should also be aware that their changes are being watched by a very active community. For me, the bigger issue is how such fundamental changes seem to be made on the fly with seemingly little thought as to the long term consequences.

This seems to be a common habit with WOTLK. Guess this is inevitable with a huge parent company breathing down your neck to get shit out the door.
