Re: Hateful Strike and threatThere is a running thread on the Elitist Jerks forum on Naxx and this question (the mechanics of Hateful Strike) came up. Other posters on EJ are saying that they have observed the multi-target threat increase. Here is the ref to the middle of the thread, where most of the discussion on Hateful Strike starts:http://elitistjerks.com/f15/t31964-wotlk_naxxramas/p17/The multi-target threat increase is important because it means that as the encounter goes along, it is harder for melee dps to "accidentally" pass the hateful strike tanks on the threat list and take an HS. A couple of later posters here talk about the slime dipping strategy and clicking off fortitude (this is also discussed in the EJ thread). My guild used to do this too on both 10 and 25 and have since stopped the slime dipping the melee dps and removing fort). An extension of the slime dipping strategy is asking healers not to use any smart heal mechanics that will heal the melee dps (Prayer of Mending, Wild Growth, etc.). At this point, we've also stopped worrying about avoiding certain heals as well.
