Cyanea, I'm right there with you. Its getting annoying to an extreme now. Its starting to seem that the "Hardcore" players are also the ones that bitch the most when things don't go their way. Your a small piece of a VERY large pie, your lucky if you get listened to at all. and all this is coming from me, someone who considers himself a hardcore raider; that's how much some of my peers sicken me. I'm personally all about equality, specially in a game that millions are going to play. i like the fact more people will get to see what I'm doing every week for themselves instead of having to go to WoWWiki to read what their missing or having to watch some guilds fraped instance clear on youtube. I like having more people to talk to about each raid fight with. the bigger the raid base gets the more focus raids will get. that means less lag mistakes and poor implementation like wintergrasp (because i think PvP is even a bigger player pull then raiding is, but someone sporting the numbers would need to confirm that) honestly i think the difficulty is a little on the easy side in Naxx and OS (with no drakes alive), but that also doesn't bother me, the whole game is about instant gratification. It has been more or less since the beginning. why do you think we had rested xp in the first place? hell, it takes less time to level to an even higher level now then it did to get to 60 in vanilla. farming is about to be more instant with the 1 tap mining, hell it already is for people who just want gold with the addition of dailies in BC. You want hardcore? the only real game that's still really going at all that's still hardcore is Final Fantasy XI and they're even dumbing that down a little to compete with the monster that is WoW.. That shit there is hardcore, spending about as much time as you're total played time in WoW right now, probably WAY more really, to hit a level cap that hasn't moved since the day the game launched to play an endgame that takes some linkshells (they're like guilds but more loosely formed, they really are better imo, no one usually throws their power in your face) 18+ hours of nonstop fighting in 1 boss battle to complete. that my friends is hardcore. Loot going to a random person in your group with no control over it is Hardcore. 3 or 4 days spent GRINDING (no questing) on the same 2 mobs for 20 hrs, is hardcore.. 18hrs of fighting not to getting any real "epic" loot from a boss at all is hardcore. hundreds of thousands of "gil" (FFXI money) to level trade skills that may not even create an item when you go to make it let alone give you a skill level is Hardcore. I've been there and as beautiful a game it is and has much of a fan of the rest of the series i am i couldn't even handle it. Go there, experience hardcore and come back crying that you miss the way things are on our side of the fence.
