Seeing as I just got out of my statistics final, i'll give yall a bit of a lesson. Because of three things, a sample size of 500 is just fine:1. The Central Limit Theorem says that as long as a sample size is above 40 (or 50 depending on who you ask), all skewness in the sample will be gone and the results be in a relatively normal curve, meaning that 500 ppl is plenty to get a glimpse of the real numbers.2. If the assumptions associated with the sample are true (yes assumptions is a math word), then the sample size is big enough. AKA if:N(sample size)X10< The population sizeNXP(proportion of sample used)>10NX(1-P)> 10If all those are good, the sample size is accepted3. As long as the sample is a simple random sample, or can at least be assumed to be a simple random sample (the sample was not purposefully picked to have certain people in it), then the sample can be accepted to show the true breakdown of players.As all these are true in this case, a sample size of 500 is just fine even though there are probably millions of DK's. While there might be some variablitity in this sample versus the true one, it is in acceptable parameters. : )

Yup. The sample size is fine.Think about it. They poll the entire U.S. with a +-5% margin of error for presidential elections with between 1000 and 1200 participants.
