GC seeks feedback on totems, warlock spells

At the moment, Ghostcrawler is specifically asking for feedback on the following two issues:
- Warlocks, which spells do you never use? Please don't clutter up the thread with extraneous issues. I actually think they did a pretty good job with the Spellstone/Firestone change of getting rid of two previously useless spells; I can't think of many obvious candidates off the top of my head. Eye of Kilrogg maybe, but I wouldn't want to lose that. Shadow Ward is used pretty infrequently.
- Shamans: Totems, totems, totems. Again, please do not talk about extraneous issues in that thread - just talk about totems. They're not going to remove or sideline them, but they are interested in making them "cooler," which is certainly much-needed.
So go on and post your feedback in GC's threads (warlock, shaman). Or feel free to talk about it here, whatever. I do think totems feel clunky, but I can't think of how to fix them exactly - I guess that's why I'm not a game designer.

It is nice that they are trying to make the totems cooler. They are kinda boring right now.

Here is my suggestion and what I posted in the official forms:
INFERNAL and ENSLAVE
Please make this guy useful. Prominently featured in the cinematics, it's why a lot of people new to the game roll Warlock. As he currently stands, most people agree that he's only good for a AOE stun.
FIX: My suggested fix is to get rid of the 1 minute timer and leave out diminishing returns on enslaves. Having a demon that can cut loose at any time (like in the middle of a fight) is fun enough and is a great balance of reward/hazard. Enslaving the big bad guys is a joy for a warlock like me and part of the class that is totally lacking.
You make the Infernal useful again and get rid of diminishing returns on enslaves and you will bring a lot of FUN back to the class.

Why the hell would they just stop with those 2 classes?
They should ask EVERY class what spells/moves they don't use.
kozom Jan 15th 2009 6:12PM
becuase they don't care about all classes.

More priest hatred!!!!! GC is teh anti priest! Hysteria!

They do. Just not all at once. Clearly GC and team are looking over Warlock and Shaman right now, so they're asking for player feedback to get ideas about what to clean up and so on.
They did the same thing with Paladins last year.

But OFC they will, its just that Shamans and Warlocks are those two classes that needs love the most right now.
Shawn Jan 15th 2009 6:14PM
They should change Warlocks such that they can go into demon form for as long as wanted (the current short time period makes the spell pretty useless except in rare circumstances (panic mode)). Then the warlock could either be another tank OR for fun they should come up with a completely new healing mechanic where the warlock dpses (a little) while being a viable healer. Sort of like how a druid can tank and dps at the same time. I'm imagining a demon healer that sucks the life from the enemies to keep his allies alive. Maybe something like a death knight but with lots less dps and a lot more healing. My warlock is such a borefest these days and my realm needs healers and no one wants to heal because it's boring. Make it fun!

Eh, I'd comment but I got a little ban after going off on GC's resilience post yesterday. Not that I reallly care. But at least I know that if I cuss my ass off, someone at Blizzard might actually pay attention to my forum post.
Alchemistmerlin Jan 15th 2009 6:47PM
Really holding up a good example of the maturity of Gamers there huh?
"If I throw a tantrum, people will pay attention to me!"

Don't worry - the warlock thread has already hit the 25 page post cap!
Didn't take long :P

Nah, it's more a matter of, I have posted numerous times, with well argued points, in clear, concise, non-inflammatory language, and each time I did, it got ignored. So, now that things have come to the point that PVP is hosed, I thought I would let my feelings be known. My payments are shut off, and will remain so until blizzard fixes PVP, or allows realm wide transfers of all characters for one payment, rather than 5 payments for 5 toons all on the same realm.
Dominika Jan 15th 2009 7:16PM
Protip: Did not get a response is not the same as ignored.
Alchemistmerlin Jan 15th 2009 7:18PM
You do realize you're 1 in 11 MILLION subscribers right? They can't personally address the (More than likely totally uninformed) demands of each of us.
Psy Jan 15th 2009 9:50PM
@Alchemistmerlin: It's true though. It's not hard to notice that the people who go off and rant all the time and swear all the time do get noticed. But the people who neatly organize and think about their posts carefully fall through the cracks and get ignored.
That's just the way the cookie crumbles. I think it sucks, but the forum staff over at Blizzard clearly think differently and think that their title compensates for their stupidity and ignorance.
Yeng Jan 16th 2009 10:29AM
They get noticed by the people they employ to scan the forums and ban people for improper behavior, that doesn't mean its getting noticed by the developers you are aiming for. And if they did see it, I'm sure they would act the same way as I do when I see such things on the forum, 'Oh that guy is a douche, NEXT!'
Usagizero Jan 15th 2009 6:15PM
Warlock spell, ritual of doom or whatever it's called. Never used, and even got it when you had to do a horrible quest to get it. Nice, tempt with another demon and then realize you will never use it. (sort of like if hunters only could tame four or five pets total, come on, let us "tame" the other fun demons if only for variety sake.)
Cyanea Jan 15th 2009 6:29PM
I think Infernals and Doomguards would have to be my spells of non-choice.
Azhariel Jan 15th 2009 7:43PM
I agree on this. Demonology tree should be remade so it feels like BM feels for hunters. You tame/submit demons, they level, your talents make them serious business.
Sure, I'm a hunter, - I - like that, but how about you guys?
