Upper Deck Day coming February 7-8, 2009

They haven't yet released the list of locations for the event, but Upper Deck tends to use the same places most every time, so if they've held a previous event at a store near you, odds are that they'll be there again. Actually collecting both of these games can get pricey (and let's face it, is really only fun if you've got a friend or two to play with often), but that's what makes these events so perfect -- you can get a taste of what the games are like without having to break the piggy bank to pick up all the little doodads.
And as always, if you go, be sure to snap some pictures and send them to us. We're always interested in what players of the offline World of Warcraft games are up to as well.

I played the TCG before I ever started WoW. I really like it.
I know some people who play both point out that certain things don't work at all in the TCG like they do in the MMO, but most of this stuff just won't transfer well.
The normal one-on-one tournament style play is the most popular (and the most lucrative), but I really like the raid decks. If you can find the people to play them, it's a really fun way to waste a Saturday.

By the way, I play in the Baltimore area. If you're interested in finding a game, Upper Deck has a feature for finding other players. Look me up!

The WoW TCG is very fun. Its a lot like "Magic: the gathering" but with better game mechanics, IMO (no mana screw, for instance).
If you have any interest in playing a collectable card game and are into WoW then go give this game a try!

I'm a huge fan of the TCG (well actually anything Blizz/Warcraft related :P)!
Sadly I doubt Upperdeck is going to be branching out and offering the same services or events on my side of the planet.
And FYI, if any Upperdeck employee happens to read this, I'm in Perth in Western Australia. Help an Aussie out! *laughs*
