The thread is pretty much win from the start, and even gets a visit from an amused Nethaera to boot. Suggestions range from "Make him a sandwich" to "Respec Discipline, all tanks like a good beating," sparking arguments over whether the healer had buffed him properly ("A tank has needs!") to whether tanks are cheating scumbags by nature ("What happens in AV, stays in AV"). You can't go wrong, but Fenn correctly observes that page 21 is a particular gold mine.
I have to admit that the response that made me laugh hardest was an early one from Öbvious of Zuluhed: "This is going to sound dirty, but can one of your DPS respec?"

My tank of over a year did cheat on me then left last night with 15 raiders right when my guild was about to break into 25's. Apparantly he wants to assemble some elite team and decided that online friends (for over a year) and RL friends didnt meet the standard. Oh well. Let me paraphrase chat:
tank: Sry guys. Had fun. Need higher content.

DPS: Me too =(
dps has left the guild
guildie #1: WTF
dps #2: Im a follower

Need higher content? WHAT higher content? There's like four raids in the game right now, three of which can be completed in less than an hour.
Reminds me of a guild recruiting in /2 last night, said they raided Tuesday through Saturday, 7 pm - 11 pm. You'd have to be doing EVERY bit of content (and be pretty awful at it) to fill 20 hours of raiding right now.

When my current guild recruited me, they were just rebuilding the guild after taking the end of BC off, and they had a similar raid schedule, Tuesday through Saturday. We now raid Tuesday and Wednesday and are done with everything.
I'm okay with it, I kind of wish the 10 mans were on a 3 day lockout like ZA was, but meh.

Maybe if you geared yourself out a little.. top him off a little bit more and pay his repair bills he might come back..
maybe suggest to him that YOU need some "tank and spank" =P
but in the end you know the saying..
Let him go and tank away
if he comes back to you then at least you know you're better than 1 other healer..
if he doesn't..
roll horde and camp him
(this assuming you're alliance and a woman... if not.. then doh)

Lets see.
6-6:30: Full Naxx25 + Vault25
6-6:30: Full Naxx10 + Vault10
3-3:30: Obsidian25 + Malygos25 + Obsidian10 + Malygos10
15-60seconds: Vault10 + Vault25
So about 16 hours/week.
You have to consider that for most guilds, you have to take into account: getting people together, subing people in and out, looking for replacements when someone gets wife aggro etc etc.
But yeah. 20hours/week does seem like a bit of a stretch, unless they are still learning the content. But if they say they have it on farm, then something is definitively wrong.
