Hello all,
This is George and I wanted to respond to some of the comments said so far after the interview post up.
First and foremost neither Milos are I are professional speakers as you can clearly see so pardon us for the run ons, grammer, etc....and I believe because we were somewhat nervous so some of our answers didn't come out so clearly.
In terms of payout, the clock is running 24/7, if the realm your character is on is in HIGH mode you are getting paid X amount, if your realm is in MAX mode you are getting paid X amount. The amount you get paid for when the realm is in MAX is much higher than when the realm is in HIGH. If you use our realm status history and select your realm you will see that a lot of the realms are close if not more than 50% combined high/max time. Our fee structure is based on the data we gathered and it changes every month because the it is based on the average of the realms last 3 months population average. For example, a player could be paying $5.00 dollars for a character on Blackrock in December but only pay $3.00 dollars for that same character in May. The calculations are dynamic and will change accordingly month to month.
In terms of our goal of drawing advertisement, it will allow us to fund many aspects of the site and we think in the future will allow us to adjust the compensation to be higher and will allow us to lower the month fees for the service. One day we hope to provide the service for free.
Our service is not for everyone but we feel is benefical for many, we encourage people to sign up for an account and test out the site. The account sign up is free and adding characters are free as well, there is no pressure to activate (in fact you can’t even if you wanted to yet).
Lastly I know there will always people who feel we are a scam, I can see how this can be seen as a gamble but this is not a scam. We are not trying to scam anyone, we think we have a creative idea that can work and we are trying to perfect it. We understand trust is hard to earn so we will keep on working to gain trust. We will be getting compensation working soon and we will implement the forum shortly for more question taking.

As I said before, I don't see your service as a scam, more like a service for dumb people.. because really.. what's the point?
If you really want to make some money and provide a service for the WOW community, why not offer the statistics you have on all the servers for free and make money off of advertising? I am absolutely sure a lot of people (myself included) would be quite interested in checking server stats, and not just whether their population is high or not but a historical view of downtime and queue times, perhaps offer a service that will notify people when their server is down.
All in all I'm sure there are people willing to pay for such statistical services, but be realistic with your pricing and offer a service that isn't so questionable.
I'm sure you'll lure in a couple of fools with your current service, but can you really expect to be taken seriously?

Divinian,
The realm status and realm status history tool we have on the site is free to use :) In fact you don't even need an account to look at it.
