Wool is valuable for the rep turn in, and because there's no particularly good place to farm it.

Even of the Whale is useful to leveling enchanters, so check how much greens of that range are going for.

Use Auctioneer to keep track of what things usually go for, but remember that it's a tool and you're an intelligent human being.

The underground graveyard in duskwood is the best place to farm wool if you are serious about selling it.

I've also found (for alliance) that Stockades is a good place to get a good chunk of wool.
