New RP, PvE servers open for transfers

Well, they promised a new RP transfer server, and here it is. Not only that, but to go along with it, they're giving us another brand new PvE realm, a transfer one this time.
These transfers opened up last night at 11 PM PST, and are scheduled to close on Friday, 1/23 at 9 PM PST/midnight EST (but could close early if enough people transfer, so go soon if you intend on going). The details:
- Source: Aggramar (Alliance Only), Alleria (Alliance Only), Area 52, Argent Dawn, Azjol-Nerub, Blackhand, Bloodhoof, Cenarion Circle, Cenarius, Dalaran, Doomhammer, Dragonblight, Earthen Ring, Emerald Dream, Feathermoon, Garona (Alliance Only), Garrosh (to Wyrmrest Accord only), Hellscream, Icecrown, Lightninghoof, Maelstrom, Moon Guard, Silvermoon, Twisting Nether, Whisperwind, Zul'jin
- Destination: Winterhoof (PvE), Wyrmrest Accord (RP). Both realms are in the Emberstorm battlegroup and the Pacific time zone.
There's a note in Zarhym's post to the effect that Wyrmrest Accord is in fact an RP server, and the RP rule set will be enforced there. Probably best to go to the other server if you want to grief RPers, roll a character named "Arthuss," or otherwise do non-RP-server-friendly things.

Why?
They need to consolidate PvP servers, not make new ones.
There are countless PvP servers that are practically dead zones, with no one playing.

Man, I suck at RPing bad on purpose. It isn't even bad funny, but it isn't even realistically bad not-funny. It just misses the mark entirely.

I'm going to have to call Zarhym out on BS. They don't enforce the RP rules on any of their current RP/RP-PvP servers and I highly doubt that this note is his post is anything more than a piss poor attempt to stop non-RPers from transferring there. Blizzard has, for a long time, left the RP realms to moderate themselves, anyone who thinks that Blizzard will take an active stance for this one server is completely delusional.

Probably because RPers are some of the most thin-skinned people on the planet. The amount of GM reports that must get generated on RP realms on a daily basis is probably approaching the number of stars in the universe.

Blizzard may have a RP rule set, but they don't enforce it. If anyone is on an RP server where it is enforced, where Trade isn't full of the same idiots as the other servers and where names like PwnNoobKiller aren't all over the place, then I'd like to know. My wife RPs, and Lightninghoof is a joke. Its no different than any other server.

RP servers ARE different. Not ideal, but they are different.
From my experience, in addition to the higher likelihood of finding fellow RPers there, you're also more likely to find mature players. Many older and more adult players flock to RP servers because they hear about the more mature atmosphere there. And the number of such people seeking better pastures is thankfully higher than the number of immature whelps who are there to cause grief.
Typical Normal servers are by and large havens of rampant idiocy and immaturity, far beyond what you can expect from a typical RP server.

While Trade/General on RPs can be bad, they are not near as bad as Normal servers.
And no, I don't see character names like "PwnNoobKiller" on my RP server.
I'm not an RPer, but I enjoy the ironically more mature crowd of make-believers.

RP rule enforcement is a joke. All it takes is for my priest to stroll through Dalaran in a Lunar Festival suit, quietly taking in the sights. A conga line of disruptive AoEs and insults forms within five minutes, guaranteed.

It's nice to know that WoW Insider supports RP griefers now, thanks for that! Now we know why all of those bastards come on OUR damn servers and piss us off.
You don't like RP? Then piss off back to your own server and leave us alone. Just because we like a different style of game play doesn't mean we're noobs or want to be treated like trash.
As for RP rule enforcement, anyone who sees someone breaking RP policy on an RP realm, don't bother reporting it. Blizzard don't give a damn because Blizzard are lazy.

You know, you guys CAN ban people. That's one massive plus Gawker has over the shitty stank of Weblogs, Inc. You act like a complete ass on Gawker and you can bet you're gone in two seconds flat.
