I'm surprised how many people don't use common recruitment methods. Trade spams, all that fun stuff. As the recruitment officer of a small, fairly newly formed (22 heads-6 who are at 80 and geared), raiding guild, I find that trying to actually recruit that large of a sum of level 80, high quality players straight from heroic pugs isn't effective. I tried this for a while, but generally by the time I had gotten a couple people out of pugs, at least a couple had decided to leave because the guild was too small and not moving fast enough. So instead of an ever growing guild, it was a guild with a high turnover rate. When I started putting in trade messages we got substantially more people, though some of lesser quality I do admit. Of course those were also taken care of post haste. At the same time, I play on a medium population RP server, so even if you did find a person who is a good player in a heroic pug, they still might not be interested in raiding, still might not be on ever, etc. So its much more hit and miss.
