Realm restarts to fix Death Knight bug

The Death Knight creation bug, which does not allow some players to create Death Knights on realms which they don't have a level 55+ character on, will be fixed by rolling restarts.The restarts will take place tomorrow (Wednesday January 21st) at 5:00 a.m. PST / 8:00 a.m. EST. Each realm should be down for a short period of time, and the restarts should only take around 15 minutes. Oceanic servers will see their restarts take place at 12:00 p.m. PST / 3:00 p.m. EST.
We can safely assume that these restarts will correct the issue. However if they don't, look here for more information.
Additional Note: There is no new information on the Wintergrasp bug

We all know the idea of being able to make a DK on any realm so long as you have at least one level 55 on your account.
These restarts will just hopefully fix the bug for those who have it. Not everyone does because I for one don't, and some people I know don't either. It's quite odd to be honest that some people aren't experiencing it.

Actually, when I got home last night, I was able to make a DK on another realm without a problem.
The only problem I really had was the lag issue.

This is the issue they're restarting the servers for? How about the constant crashes in Northrend as a result of Wintergrasp? I love how Blizzard claimed to have fixes in place for the lag in Naxx as of 3.08 but tonight was the worst experience yet. Horrible lag and random d/c's caused the guild to cancel the raid before a boss was downed. I usually laugh at the people threatening to quit the game but I have now canceled my account until fixes are put in place. I pay money for a service and that service is NOT being provided.

Well, although there's no official word on the Wintergrasp bug, my boyfriend and I haven't experienced the same world server drops and problems from earlier in the evening. Perhaps that means progress?

Well the opening announcement on the login page says Wintergrasp battles have been disabled until they fix the big. So Northrend should be stable now. Also, how much do you bet the above poster didn't really quit wow?

That is working as intended. The RACIAL restriction was removed, not the rep requirement.

Check the patch notes again some time. Racial restrictions != Reputation restrictions. :)

i was able to make one on an other realm that i only had a lvl 1 toon even thought i have a DK on my regular realm
i deleted the other DK by fear of getting banned

After getting revered with hodir, I decided I might as well go try out my mammoth in azeroth and explore for the achievement. After running across STV about twice to finish exploring that area, the server shut down and now I have to do it all over again. GAHHHH

Rockyracoon, you obviously don't understand how things work on Wowinsider.com. You are never, ever allowed to complain about server stability, bugs, or lag. You'll automatically be rated down by the sycofant lemmings that comprise the majority of the readership here. Not only that, but you'll see posts with the always clever "QQ" embedded in them. The Great Blizzard cannot be criticized for being unable to smoothly patch their product after four years of practice. They also cannot be criticized for rolling a patch out into production with several known bugs.
Oddly enough, complaining endlessly about your own class in the comments section is not only tolerated, it's encouraged.
P.S. I'm a developer for a billion dollar software/security firm. If you think that Blizzard's track record of poor rollouts and stability issues is acceptable in any other part of the software industry, I suggest you get your head checked.
Not that facts or common sense will change any of the lemming's minds.. so I'll just end this with the sincere advice to eat a bag of dicks if you plan on flaming me.
