Yes, the new episode of The Guild is now
live for your watching enjoyment, and the gang deals with the servers going down the only way they know how: by driving each other crazy. Strangely, rather than running for the hills while they don't have to be in the game together, they decide to party up in real life as well, and that should be a sight to see next week. Plus, Codex gets her own game shut down by an unexpected player.
Good times as always. The latest episode should also be up in HD soon
on Xbox Live and in the Zune marketplace as well. Just the thing to keep you entertained during today's extended maintenance.

Breaking news the "First!" guy had his spot stolen. We now go live to the scene where "First!" has broken down into a sobbing rage!

I hate hate hate that it doesn't work for me on the new site. I just want to go back to youtube.
Nerill Jan 20th 2009 1:56PM
Hey Jane, if you are talking about the MSN site, I had the same problems too.
I think it's bugged. After fiddling around, I discovered that if you log out after logging in and then hit the play button, I could watch the video.
Hope that helps.

I'd pack her box any day.

WoW insider: News, analysis, and opinion from inside the World of Warcraft.
So why am I looking at a post about a web TV show I don't watch ? What does this have to do with WoW?
Mastique Jan 20th 2009 1:26PM
Its about people who play WoW, hon.
AyaJulia Jan 20th 2009 1:28PM
It's a web show that's popular with WoW players. I could understand them posting it for that reason. What I don't understand is why they post that it was released every single week. Do you need a news bulletin to tell you the Sunday comics are out every Sundays? Or to tell you your favorite TV show is coming on Thursday at 8, just like the last week and the week before and the week before that, too?
/shrug. Must be just me, hahaha. :)

It's like the news. If CNN does a story over the war and puppies, then you'd be more likely to care about the war than the puppies. But you shouldn't berate them for reporting on said puppies, because there is always going to be that one person who would really want to know about those freakin' puppies.
Basically, it's filler. And to be honest, the Guild does take a lot of reference from WoW. It's not like they're talking about a completely unrelated story...
If you don't like it, just skip the story. WI is pretty much 90% WoW and 10% other stuff. They're not forcing you to read this one or even care about it.

classmates.com don't have anything to do with WoW either, but nobody thinks it odd that they have a tile on the side of the page. It's called advertising - they bought some space on WoW Insider, and so did The Guild, apparently.
Ultranator Jan 20th 2009 3:18PM
Why am I reading a comment that I don't care about? Oh well, I guess I'll get over it
Temlydd Jan 20th 2009 1:40PM
Not people who play wow per say. But play an online role-playing game. Which still has relevance considering WoW, is an online role-playing game.
Besides you should watch it even if it isnt about WoW.

Hey, for all those who like The Guild, check out their site : www.watchtheguild.com and click the link to vote for them for the new web awards called the Streamys at the streamys.org.
It's a great show and I think they really deserve credit.

@7 AyaJulia
Because it's nice as a reminder. I read WI more or less every day, so if there's a new ep I'll see it. I already have 4 shows, 5 animes and 2 mangas that appear weekly, and they don't even always come at a set time.
I just don't see why it matters either, to have a small article when there's a new episode, especially so since it's relevant.

You guys, thx for watching. Especially since Clara was inaugurated today to a Cabinet-Level Raiding position:

She looks really shocked...did that orb drop again? If so, how much DKP do Obama, Kennedy and Biden have?
Nerill Jan 20th 2009 2:56PM
Hi Codex!
I think it's great that a busy (and big star) like you, takes the time to talk to the fans. Awesome show and I eagerly wait for the next one every week.
Ya, it's a great pic - :-D
BTW, my money is on Zaboo. I know he was really nerfed (this time by his mom) but like all warlocks, he will overcome and adapt. lol
Good luck with the Steamys!
Nerill Jan 20th 2009 3:00PM
OOPS, red face.
I mean Streamys, of course

Great job on the show, complete hilarity.
