What happened to the dance studios?
This is something that got hit with the delaybat, because they never worked out a system they were satisfied with. It's still something we'll supposedly see someday, but it's one of those things they want to perfect before they release it. I imagine it'll be a long time before we see it, but hopefully it'll actually show up one day.

Any suggestions for a bear tank that has given up for right now, and wants to go moonkin? I have a holy priest healer, so not sure if I want another healer. I have always passed on caster gear, so I would literally be starting from scratch. I have the worst dice in the game, so buying stuff is probably better. I do have quite a few badges as well (60ish).
Allison Robert (who is becoming a familiar name in this column) recently finished up her Moonkin gearing guide this week. That should pretty much cover you, and has a lot of the good BOE/Badge items listed. Alternatively, just hit Wowhead and scroll through the high end BOE blues and epics that Tailoring can make in Wrath. You're probably going to end up wearing a lot of Cloth, and those items are good candidates if you want to start pumping up your +Hit. Beyond that, yeah, just check out Allison's guide. You won't regret it.
suhas asked...
Is there any lore reason why even the Alliance opposes the Scarlet Crusade?
The Scarlet Crusade is pretty friggin' crazy, and their goals aren't necessarily in line with the Alliance's own. Even before it was widely known the Crusade was being controlled by demons, the Crusade happily stabbed Alliance folk to death right alongside the Forsaken and the Horde. They are nuts. They might not have actually started that way (because there are a couple of friendly Scarlet Crusaders around), but they definitely fell into that hole. The Alliance isn't down with that. Even beyond the Demonic Taint, they've worked themselves up into such a zealous frenzy that nobody wants much to do with them.
Just read up on the Crusade on Wowwiki: They're pretty nuts. If you're not in, you're dead to them.
Ice asked...
What is the new weird portal looking beam in Un'Goro that has same model as in Sholazar Basin start? I heard its a new "get to dungeon in Ungoro" and it's about Titans or something but... any other info on that?
It's just the other half of the waygate in Sholazar. That's where it leads. You use the waygate in a quest from the Avatar of Freya, she sends you to Un'goro to pick something (avoiding spoilers on what it is for you) up to help fight off the Scourge sticking their noses into the Basin. There are no dungeons up there, just a temple and such. You only spend about five or ten minutes up there, tops. After you finish the quest, you can still use it for a quick way to southern Kalimdor, but I've no idea why you would go out of your way to use that when you can just use the portal to the Caverns of Time from Dalaran.
Ham Salad asked...
I'm a fairly new player... how much research should I put into realm activity/alliance-to-horde ratio/population when choosing a realm? What should I be looking for?
If you're looking to play on a PvP realm, it'll play a bigger factor than if you were to play on a PvE realm. A quick glance at WarcraftRealms.com's Census information wouldn't be a bad idea. The information there isn't 100% accurate, but it will give a pretty decent snapshot of what the server looks like. If you're an Alliance player in the EU, you probably wouldn't want to play on EU-Magtheridon, for example. EU-Ragnaros isn't perfectly balanced, but it's far better than EU-Magtheridon, so it'll work out fine.
Generally, you don't need to worry about it at all. PvP players might want to check realm balance a little as noted above, PvE players probably don't need to worry about it at all. Both players suffer from very extreme population imbalances, but those sorts of imbalances are very rare. 2:1, 5:1, or even 10:1 ratios are workable, if a bit inconvenient for things like Wintergrasp. When you're looking at 20:1 or 30:1 you probably don't want to roll there.

What is that picture at the bottom of the article? I see fire but I can't make out what it is.
ayalafatalis Jan 25th 2009 12:17PM
Something with blacksmithing. I see a red-hot anvil, so Im guessing the fire is some slag pouring out from the forge or whatever.
Xerous Jan 25th 2009 5:27PM
not positive but the image is named:
az_queue_forge_thumbnail
So I'm guessing a forge image of some kind...
Keyra Jan 25th 2009 6:43PM
Here's a better picture of it:

Looking at the larger picture - it's Volkhan and his forge in Halls of Lightning.

"it's one of those things they want to perfect before they release it."
I get worried when Blizzard says they want to "perfect" something before they release it. Because they have been doing a bang-up job lately! I'm sure they will "perfect" it, just like they "perfected" class balance in pvp before Wrath came out.
Eldoron Jan 25th 2009 1:15PM
ah because you're perfect right
Chuck Mize Jan 25th 2009 1:46PM
Just because you suck at PvP doesn't mean that PvP is unbalanced.
Kakistocracy Jan 25th 2009 2:01PM
If he had said that he waited till his comment was perfect before releasing it, that would have been a clever analogy, as it is, not so much.
SaintStryfe Jan 25th 2009 10:05PM
There is absolutely no way to predict PVP balance until it hits live servers. The dedicated people who test these things just don't think the way live players do, and things can't be sure until they hit.
Fuseitana Jan 25th 2009 12:14PM
I would just like to add to the answer to HamSalad, the ratio and overall realm population can affect the AH.
I started on a very low pop server and it had a 5:1 imbalance, I was in the 1 side. The AH was severely empty of most everything you'd want to buy. I created an alternate faction toon just to check out the AH and was astounded at the variety.
uncaringbear Jan 25th 2009 4:10PM
I absolutely agree that faction balance can affect your wow-activities. As pointed out above, AH prices can be completely out of skew if you are on the side of the fence greatly outnumbered by the other faction.
Also, trying to get certain achievements, such as slaying the leaders of the opposing faction can be quite a pain.

Here comes one silly question:
Now that Naxxramas has been recycled and moved to Northrend, do you think there are still any logical reasons for the Eyes of Naxxramas to go on wandering around in Stratholme and calling for support when they spot you? I mean, Naxx isn't there anymore so why should they? And where do they get their backup from?
(Sorry for my english.)
Dec Jan 25th 2009 8:41PM
Despite its new location, the forces in Stratholme still technically answer to Kel'thuzad. Even before Naxxramas appeared in the Eastern Plaguelands, the Scourge armies in the city and throughout the Plaguelands were considered to be under Kel'thuzad's ultimate control, even though the Lich himself wasn't physically present to command them.
So really, the Eyes of Naxxramas could still just be seen as a means for Kel'thuzad to "keep an eye on things" (heh) in Stratholme from afar, albeit from farther away than before.
Squiddles Jan 26th 2009 1:45PM
Perhaps they should change their yell to "Watch out! Another bored level 80! Hide that Deathcharger!"
magnuskn Jan 25th 2009 1:29PM
As far as realm imbalance goes, it would probably a decent idea to check out all the realms in that battlegroup.
Otherwise you might be facing long queues for PvP if you choose the wrong side ( mostly Alliance ).
AyaJulia Jan 25th 2009 12:34PM
10:1 workable for WG? Rofl.

Is this big swirly maelstrom in the middle of the map a big whirlpool or a aerial vortex storm.. thing?
DeathPaladin Jan 25th 2009 12:52PM
From American Heritage
maelstrom - n -
1. A violent or turbulent situation: caught in the maelstrom of war
2. A whirlpool of extraordinary size or violence
kozom Jan 25th 2009 12:56PM
It's a storm in the picture, but it's also kind of a whirlpool. It's the worst storm imaginable, caused by the well of eternity being destroyed. Empires of Naga live there, and it's believe the next expac will be southern seas/maelstrom.
