Bug fixes for Hunters, Locks, and Death Knights tomorrow

- The Hunter Aspect bug, in which aspects are on a global cooldown like mechanism.
- The Warlock Ritual of Summoning, which had a two minute cooldown implemented to prevent some sort of undisclosed exploit.
- Howling Blast, which showed to not have a cooldown, but in reality had a five second one.
There is no word if these fixes will come in the form of a small patch to the client, or if they are going to be done server side. Since the Howling Blast is a bug that is linked to client data files, I would assume that fixing it necessitates rolling out a minor patch. However that's just an assumption based on the way things were done in the past, and Blizzard could have other technology present to circumvent the need for a full patch.
Nonetheless, a couple more bugs will get fixed tomorrow. This is a good thing.

*acting as a Blizzard Dev*
Mike,
Thank you for you constructive comments covering the pet cower bug. We are aware of this problem and are working tirelessly to buff Death Knights more.
We are sensitive to your frustrations while soloing with you companion and sympathize with Death Knights needing to be buffed more.
We suggest just placing Growl and Cower in your Pet's action bars and right clicking them whenever necessary. Just know that we are here to help you and are striving to make this game 100% playable for Death Knights.
Sincerely,
Your Blizzard Development Team

Yes. Death Knights are getting massive buffs, and by massive buffs you mean last patch their top DPS spec lost 1k+ DPS, and their PvP survivability got nerfed hard (but fairly.)
QQ more.
Cholito Jan 27th 2009 1:58PM
Maybe one dps spec got nerfed for the DK but in no way whatsoever are DK's weak on dps. My friend just hit 80, and is routinely hitting over 2k dps in greens and blues. So please don't complain about DK dps, its absurd.
Madinauzi Jan 27th 2009 11:09PM
My ele sham is doing 2k dps...at level 70...
So...?
Siona Jan 26th 2009 7:43PM
We're never gonna see a fix to the pet abilities, are we? ;_; GHOSTCRAWLER, COME ON, I HAVE FAITH IN THEE.

How about fixing the mend pet glyph which no longer gives happiness like it's supposed to?
elstor Jan 26th 2009 7:55PM
It does just fine for me, but I don't think it is affected by overheals. Go injure your pet with him at neuteral to you, then keep mending and he'll be happy
Tensai Jan 26th 2009 8:11PM
@Elstor It doesn't work if you are specced "Improve Mend Pet".
Kakistocracy Jan 26th 2009 8:23PM
So the secret to making your pet happy is hurting it? I take it your pet's special. :D

Any other realms having issues with the IF/SW tram being broken? On moonrunner it's been hosed for the last week.
supersaint Jan 26th 2009 10:53PM
I smell extended maintenance.... again.

QQ more, 4 years and vanish is still bugged last i checked...
Autumnn Jan 27th 2009 12:05AM
How about the fix for the "Spirit Strike hits the trapped mob even though you didn't have it targeted and it don't break it until the final proc" bug?
teh_wild_knight Jan 27th 2009 2:39AM
So when does wintergrasp become playable again? The lag is so bad I can almost never hit anything in melee (warrior here), I don't get credit for any of my kills so I can't get a vehicle, and most times when we win I only get one wintergrasp mark instead of three.
3.0.8 seems to have broken more than it was supposed to fix.
Sonicandtails Jan 27th 2009 10:57AM
Again? It's been like this since the server went up for Sargeras :\
Hazimus Jan 27th 2009 2:45AM
While you're at it Blizzard, go ahead and make that Kirin Tor Familiar a COMBAT pet... because it looks too cool not to be, thanks.
fernando Jan 27th 2009 4:26AM
Pet talents, crowl mostly, come and go, even after mounting and dismounting. I have to check the pet bar constantly... opening the tab menu because we only get 4 slots on the action bar for talents, which itself is another major bug (design bug)
