This actually sounds like something I might try. I only ever play as a Tank or a Healer, so I have the "stress" of trying to Tank or Heal, as well as dealing with the rest of the group. Often I can't be bothered trying to argue with or instruct idiots, so this method might just work for me.

I usually tank or heal aswell and the only time I can be completely silent is when I am healing, especially in raids.

If i am quite when tanking, people tend to not know what they should be doing, which is weird since everything is just AoE now...
