We have a guy like this in guild except that he just don't talk in vent. I've heard him talk in vent in the 3 months I've raided with him twice. He has a mic just never uses it and he happens to be the highest DPS and knows all of the fights. He damn near wiped the raid because he spoke and everybody alt+tabbed to see who it was.

"Mr. Mikeless
- Has a microphone. Hears the conversation and directions. Once wiped the raid because he started talking and most folks alt-tabbed to see who the hell was speaking. May be your best player. "
Try to be more original then something that was even posted on wowinsider.

I would have except that is exactly what happened... I know the post. All but the MT alt+tabbed because the MT knew him.

I've actually had that happen in our guild too, so, it's a stereotype based in reality, not just made up for fun (with anyone mentioning it 'mkaing it up').

I'm one of those people. At the end of the day, I'm tired. I don't feel like talking. Plus I'm usually playing in the night time when the kids are sleeping. It's too loud to talk when they are in the next room. (very thin walls)

I'm like that too. I raided with my guild for over six months before they ever got me to speak on Vent. Mostly because I would raid late at night and didn't want to wake up my roommate.

I'm like that, except I rarely talk at all, in guild chat, in vent, nothing, rarely in whispers. I just dont talk because not to be offensive but lets face it most of the stuff people talk about it utter crap. I was an officer in the guild and most people wondered why because I was like a stranger, none of them knew me. I'd log on, wouldnt say hi, would log off wouldnt say bye.
Not to blow my own trumpet but hell, I was the guy who did his job and then some, like said in the post, I knew the fights...I could make alterations to our tactics if they werent working with the raid leader. I was a healer and always out healed the others with the least amount of overhealing. I noted down those pratting about. I was according to other officers the most underrated person in the raids. Whilst the tank and the DPS got all the credit, the other officers said I pretty much held raids together because I was dependable even when silent.
Anyway one day when we wiped against a farm boss a dozen times or more I let loose on Vent, yelling at others, calling out the idiots who pratted about. Most people took a double take, didnt realize who was speaking and when they realized were shocked. People listened to what I said and we got the guy down the next try.
The Silent Bob approach works. Simple as.

Thats me, baby... well, maybe not with raid wiping powers, but still...
i'd talk all the time in gchat or raid chat, but the folks in my old guild knew i was in vent, and knew i had a mic that worked, but i'd never use it, and so they were always trying to get me to talk and when i did, there was frequently squealing... good times, i miss those peeps :P

My fiancee is like this. He doesn’t talk a lot on Vent and as soon as he opens his mouth to explain something, people are like “OMG, he talks!”
