I learned that the hard way. When I got tired of sharing experience about encounters and nasty pulls to no avail, i became a "Silent Bob".
It works.

I suggest another point,
4.- Do everything you can that makes the group progression easier (even if you werent asked for it). For example, a mob attacks the healer, don't waste time telling the tank or waiting the screams from the healer, just CC it .
