Blizzard is really playing a really fine balancing act right now - how long can they go without new content while keeping their players amused? I think after 4 years of this they have it down to a science though - most hardcore players will come up with any kind of excuse to keep playing - leveling alt after alt and gearing them through naxx, farming, grinding old instances for achievements, etc. and most casuals will be finishing up their gear grind by the time ulduar rolls around. As for PVP players, I would say its safe to assume almost everyone is dissatisfied with balance issues and the arena rating fiasco, but will continue to grin and bear it for another couple months.I don't think anyone can argue that this expansion meets the same quality standards of the last one, or or vanilla WoW, but I don't see the value of idle speculation as to the culprit here.
