Swift Flight Form in ink
Zeerah wrote in earlier today to send us a pretty awesome addition to our WoW tattoo gallery. They took their love for their class to the next level, and have emblazoned their leg with one of the coolest looking (in my opinion) Druid forms in WoW thus far.Personally, I think it's a pretty good choice for a tattoo. I don't have a problem with gaming tattoos, but I do think that if you're going to get one, get one that looks awesome (while also meaning something, of course). This one is pretty good I think, not that it's my place to judge. Congratulations on your ink, Zeerah! Looks like they did a pretty good job on it. It's an Alliance Druid form too, which is a plus in my book. I love both factions equally, but we're a little Horde heavy in our gallery, don't you think?

A good choice, just because in 10 years nobody will know that that's a WoW tattoo.
Retron Jan 27th 2009 7:39PM
I disagree. It's a good choice because in 10 years, that's what the druid flight form will still look like!

In 10 years everybody will play Wow2.
Warcraft is already 15 years old now, so add some decades.
Foolish though, I would never have a tattoo.
My body deserves better than fuilty ink

A good choice for a tattoo, a bad choice of an artist... That thing looks godawful, look at the proportions lol =]

A bit off topic, but the other day I saw a NElf druid in this badass grey flight form. Turns out that's what their non-epic flying looks like. I wish I could look like that and still have full speed.
InsaneAssault Jan 27th 2009 7:33PM
Really? How could you like the vanilla form over the epic flight form? The vanilla form is so....plain.
Evi Jan 28th 2009 3:10PM
I wish we had the option. I adore epic flight form, but the grey storm crow is pretty neat looking! Sadly, once you get epic flight form, you can no longer go back to the old one.

So much better than another Horde logo tattoo.

Here are a few observations I've made while browsing the WoW tattoo gallery:
1. The bodies they are on haven't seen sunlight in months or years, and are either coincidentally or causally made of what appears to be cookie dough.
2. The only people who know what that is are the very same people who also don't get laid.
3. The tattoo artist and his entire shop laughed at you when you left, and possibly while you were there if you appear in one of those pictures.
4. The guy who had a Chevy Cavalier tattooed on his forearm just lost his Guiness Record for the worst decision ever made.

Lol.
TBH this is true...

For the record that tattoo is really ugly.

Here's a few observations I made while reading your comment:
1. You've always wanted a tattoo, but are too chickenshit to go through the pain, so you make the same tired ass 'tattoos are stupid' comments in hopes that no one sees through you.
2. You bring up getting laid because you spend so much time trolling blogs and talking shit about other people that you don't have time to leave the house and do it yourself (and even if you did, finding a willing participant would be impossible because no one wants to bang some loser that's afraid to get tattoo'ed).
3. The artist was probably so happy to get to do something artistic instead of the 150000th chinese symbol for bravery that he didn't give a shit if the inspiration for the tattoo came from a video game.
nate Jan 27th 2009 8:49PM
"bobby" must have a WoW related tattoo. Look at how defensive that reply is :)
nate Jan 27th 2009 7:48PM
"Dad, whats that scar?"
"Oh thats just a silly tattoo that I had to get removed because I severely regretted it about a year after I got it"
Keyra Jan 27th 2009 8:40PM
Hmm...I still have mine after almost 18 years and rarely give it any thought. Then again, mine is small and on my shoulder and not large and on my leg, but still.
nate Jan 27th 2009 8:44PM
Sorry I should have been more specific. I meant game-related tattoos, not all; custom pieces done by accomplished artists are stunning, and something I plan to do myself one day (when i can finally settle on a theme and style!)
Game related tattoos, and others such as band names, logos, movie or TV show related ink I cant imagine someone regretting rather quickly.
nate Jan 27th 2009 8:46PM
[* can't imagine someone NOT regretting]
Keyra Jan 27th 2009 8:51PM
That's true enough, like someone who gets their girlfriend's name tattooed on a ribbon banner with a heart and then breaks up with said girlfriend :-)
I knew someone in '92 who had a Van Halen logo tattoo. He hated it, but thought it was "cool" at the time he got it.
Lilene Jan 27th 2009 9:06PM
Funny, in my house it goes kind of like this:
"Hey, Mom, tell me the stories of your tattoos again."
"Well, this one was the first I ever got, when I was sixteen. And this one was to celebrate when your dad and I got married...." Etc., through the dozen plus tattoos I have and the moments in my life—good and bad—that they are markers of.
You also seem to be under the mistaken impression that only young people get tattoos.
nate Jan 27th 2009 9:27PM
Lilene what makes you think that I am under the impression only young people get tattoos? I am no spring chicken myself (3 and a bit decades and counting) yet I am still considering it.
I can see your point and I do agree, but do you see playing World of Warcraft as a "moment" worth engraving on your body for the rest of your life?

@ D.C.
Funny someone on a web site about a game complaining about people playing said game on a blog about a tattoos. Whose the one not getting laid or getting tattoos? I'm sure your comment was simply made to rouse people so good job you win anonymous tough guy retard award. The only thing these people have more than you is.
1. Guts to get a tattoo
2. Guts to support something they enjoy.
3. Guts to post it knowing asshats like you will mock it
4. A fond memory of good times.
Its a shame in the world of being the top blog ass you forgot what its like to have fun in life and enjoy the time you get here.
