I'm currently using a 5/14/52 SV build, keeping up serpent sting and firing ExS on every cooldown intertwined with steady shots. I only change this up when LnL procs, then I ease up on the SS and hit three ExSes in succession (after the previous one's DoT has expired). This does require watching cooldowns and keeping an eye on LnL procs, but the DPS is on par with what I was doing as BM spamming SS and volley.

BM was certainly an easier autopilot huntard spec, but I'm in love with the mix of DPS and simply useful things (replenishment, instant casts, extra CCs) that SV has to offer.
