It Came from the Blog: Join us for Lunar Festival 2009

That's right, this Saturday, ICftB will be celebrating the Lunar Festival by honoring our Elders and collecting Ancient Coins. Here are the details:
- When: Saturday, January 31st, 6PM Eastern (3PM Pacific, 4PM Server time)
- Where: Bank in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh, U.S.
- Who: Any Horde character with at least 3 silver and not in the service of the Lich King. (Death Knights are fine as long as they have finished their initial quests and have been accepted by Thrall.)
- How: Just send a tell to Robiness or any It Came from the Blog member to get an invite to the raid and the guild
We will be doing the initial quests to get the invitation, going to Moonglade and then picking up flightpaths and the easiest coins. If we have enough time, we will go visit the Alliance elders as well.
Level 1 characters are welcome as long as you've played them for long enough to pick up 3 silver -- that's how much the fireworks cost to get the invitation to Moonglade. If you really want to bring a Death Knight to the party, make sure you have done all of the initial quests, have your Death Gate and have done the walk of shame to Thrall.
I will be able to summon newbie Tauren characters who do not have the flightpath to Orgrimmar yet, but everyone else should be able to get to the bank pretty quickly, so please log on before so that we can all meet at the bank by 4PM Server time.

If you have a 55+ character, you can join in as a DK. Free flight points!

Zangarmarsh isn't my main realm either. The fun is to create a character just for playing with WoW Insider bloggers. :)
Also, we will be running from Elder to Elder because most people will be bringing level 1 or 2 characters and won't have the flightpaths, so even if you do make a DK and level him/her up to be ready for playing with us, you'll still have to run around to hang with the group.
But running around together is most of the fun. :)

There was a coin toss and Horde won. However, if there is enough interest, we may make an Alliance version as well and take turns.

while I enjoy griefing horde from time to time, I wouldn't intentially grief this outing.
They aren't planning a raid just some wholesome coin collecting fun.

Sooooo, Zangar is not my home server, but because I love this idea I went ahead and rolled *shudders* a DK. I promise to have it out of the starting area before Sat morning.

I'll be there but I may have to catch up to you all as that I dont think I can log on until 3:30 PST due to work concerns. Can't wait! Ive been looking forward to another ICFTB event since returning to WoW after a year off.
