More free character transfers open for the EU
A new batch of fre realm transfers have opened up for European servers, which is always a good thing. A lot of these transfers are ones we've seen before though, so hopefully this time around these options will be more successful than they may have been previously. We also have a whole load of transfers opening up to EU-Magtheridon specifically for the Alliance, so they're continuing to try and repair the faction imbalance there. Right now, we're looking at...- Horde players on EU-Magtheridon may transfer to Haomarush, Tarren Mill, Trollbane, Zenedar, and Silvermoon.
- Alliance players may transfer to EU-Magtheridon from Aerie Peak, Aggramar, Alonsus, Aszune, Azjol-Nerub, Bronze Dragonflight, Bronzebeard, Emerald Dream, Eonar, Khadgar, Kul Tiras, Runetotem, Shadowsong, Silvermoon, and Turalyon.
- From Burning Legion, Crushridge to Dentarg, Genjuros
- From Grim Batol, Sylvanas to Shattered Halls, Vek'nilash
- From Ravencrest, Stormscale to Haomarush, Karazhan
- From Al'Akir, Outland to Agamaggan, Ahn'Qiraj
- From Kazzak, Twilight's Hammer to Kor'gall, Trollbane
- From Shattered Hand, Stormwind to Boulderfist, Laughing Skull
- From Argent Dawn to Steamwheedle Cartel, the Sha'tar

EU-Magtheridon now currently has already ~1000 allies, vs to ~20.000 horde :)
HC server for alliance

With numbers like that, I don't understand why any alliance would ever want to go there without additional incentive, like a month free or some such.

still no alliance only transfers to karazhan /sigh

The ratio on Silvermoon-EU is almost entirely the opposite of Magtheridon-EU. I can't remember not having the Wintergrasp Buff as an Alliance player since Wrath came out and visting Horde cities feels a lot like what I reckon it must be like to sneak into Disneyland after everyone's gone home and all that's left are the [NPC] animatronics.
When I see a Horde, I'm way more inclined to help them out than be hostile. It's like seeing a member of an endangered species... you'd just feel guilty about bringing extinction just one small step closer to reality.

Haha great parable about endangered species!

Man if you see any of them hordes still on silvermoon do us a favour and tell them to get with the rest of us that fled to Dreanor or Nord. chances are they came back with wrath and someone forgot to send them the memmo :P

Okey guys, every ally come to Magtheridon now! There are no one there for me to kill :p
But really, the server has huge balance problems (you think?) and so it's great that Blizzard actively tries to get some alliance over here, though I don't really think that many will show up... But I'd like to be proven wrong on that point, so please, come join us ;)

Get of Argent Dawn now, can't ever start a insance, and takes forever to log inn.

I really would like to see these servers balance themselves out, I play horde on Bronzebeard and its moved from ~35% horde to 22-12% horde.
But the problem as I see it is the game design encourages you to go for the easy mode of wow by joining the larger population. All the world pvp objectives effectively just give the larger population an XP buff (wintergrasp is owned 24/7 by alliance since tenacity is good for honour farming but fairly useless for winning any battle).
Until they start either penalising the larger population (while giving them the option of a free transfer) or buffing the smaller population (ie slightly increased drop rates? Maybe a 1-20% chance of an extra token dropping or something else small but good) then there really is no reason to join the smaller faction.
People complain about wow being too easy, the same people ironically also pick the easy servers to play on.

I've been trying to persuade my guild to move to Magtheridon for ages, now we have absolutely no reason to not at least discuss the move

Isn't that Argent dawn -> Steamwheedle Cartel, the Sha'tar always on :D? At least I hope the population of Argent goes a way down. I want to roll a too there :(.
Good thing tho that ppl from argent go to Sha'tar, cuz I have a toon there and Sha'tar is a bit underpopulated...
