You don't fall to your death, you'll get a parachute (Usually). The way you die is A.) Falling into a mob-infested area while AFK and getting beaten on or B.) Getting killed by a player of the opposite faction.

OMFG CAN U NOT READ?!?!?! The very....VERY next line after your quote says......(Note, 'plummeting to your death' was hyperbole. I know you get a parachute. Yeesh.)
