this is a total fake... Even in the DK section, "will scale much better" Thats not how blizzard would write it. Maybe "Improved scaling" but not how it is.Also the Divine Plea berf (buff+nerf) never gonna happen. Blizz won't remove the 20% healing penalty as then it is quite OP.

• Greater Heal: Mana cost reduced slightly, cast time reduced by to 2.5 secondslol i'm glad blizzard is literate and knows how to correctly write a change in a key spell.obviously fake, but a great read. i really liked some of the changes.like priests procing blackout on mindsear is abit op, but things like test of faith increases the duration of GS is a good idea. as well as other changes suggested by the writer.

Fake. There's too many buffs that the various classes would really like and it's incredibly unlikely that they'd all be introduced on one patch. Adrenaline Rush trainable at 30 for rogues?? Right.... This isn't even a good fake - it's written as if talking to an external audience which no early build would be and there's WAY too much stuff there. Honestly, I'm not even sure I'd like all of this stuff to appear at once. While everyone will look at their class changes and go "Yeah cool!" the OTHER class changes would hurt them and the balance would be unpredicatbly revised. Not even a nice try really. (Now watch... it's all real and someone at Blizz is snickering at me)

Pretty clearly fake.GC has stated that changing spec outside of a major city would be non-trivial. So it would take more than being out of combat.

If these are fake, then the writer has A LOT of time on their hands, as for comments about they way some parts are written... i've seen worse from Blizzard, so that statement is moot.Blizzard will never ever confirm or deny the legitimacy of these patch notes, so we can all keep speculating.

The class changes seem fake, or at least very rough development. But everything else looks legit.I remember when the Lich King talents were leaked, and everyone called fake on those too. Only to later discover that they were, in fact, the actual changes being discussed. Some of these things I don't think you can just make up. ie. potency rating, the new offensive with Covenant, etc. Also, Ruby Sanctum is straightforward, there are multiple portals in OS and eventually I'd suspect they'd all get used. Plus you gotta figure not all T8 tokens are going to drop in Ulduar :)

Though I think these are probably fake, or at least doctored to compromise their credibility, there is something I think we are all missing.Many of these patch notes seem to follow things that were implemented before 3.0.2, like the kick damage. I remember seeing here on wowinsider during Blizzcon that 3.1 was finished. Can someone here at the site verify that?If that is the case, this may actually be the original patch notes for the very first 3.1 build.Many of the new things on here support that like more minor glyphs. I remember seeing comments from blues somewhere that they didn't want glyphs for 3.0.2 talents or the new level 80 abilites because they didn't want us to think the spell always functioned a certain way because we would learn the spell and add the glyph before we ever used it.I think it actually might be both. A little furblog dung mixed with some notes that may be dated that someone was able to get their hands on and decided to pass along. Even with that being said, that means the actual credibility of the notes is extremely suspect and likely to be false, but then again if 3.1 has been done for months like was confirmed at Blizzcon, there would have to be notes floating around somewhere right?

Sadly i fear WoWinsider is going to get a lot more "leaked" patch notes since they've posted these ones. I've seen fake patch notes for every major and many minor patches now.Interestingly though, sometimes, the more intelligently devised fakes are not far off the mark. To make them convincing the fakers do quite a bit of research, to make sure to include what we expect to see. Then they add a few superfluos changes here and there, including things often suggested/requested on the forums or just things that they'd like.Sometimes though they're not far off the mark due to the methods they take to make them convincing. I sure as heck hope those Warlock changes don't go through though. Adding shadowbolt to pandemic is nice but a 25% chance? Sod that, i don't want to spam Life drains to refresh my dots.

I see tons of fakes from just a quick scan through...my favorites though...Potency Rating: Haste Rating, Armor Penetration Rating and Spell Penetration have been merged into a single stat. Each percent of Potency will decrease the enemy's spell resistances and armor; it will also increase the player's cast speed and melee attack speed.o Exotic pets can no longer be dodged or parried.o Most boss abilities will no effect pets.Improved Frostbolt: Also reduces the global cooldown of your Ice Lance spell by 0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5 seconds.Chaos Bolt: Cooldown reduced to 8 seconds, base damage increased slightly. Also pierces through immunity effects such as Divine Shield and Ice Block.And finallyProspecting now only requires 4 ore.That last one has to be my favorite fake.The bags almost made my list, but they were just way to obvious.

My favorite fake:• Shapeshifting no longer costs mana, but there is now a 3 second cooldown.And the "Potency Rating" thing is just too ridiculous. Maybe the next fake patch notes can have one about how Stamina, Int, and Spirit are being rolled into one "Potency Stat".
