WoW Moviewatch: Warden of Eternity
I'm not sure whether to call Warden of Eternity by Karash "high concept." It certainly fits some of the hallmarks of that idea, but I feel like the pacing might slightly miss the mark. However, in the very least, his epic machinima is firmly rooted in some of the most noble and recognizable lore offered by World of Warcraft. You should recognize Illidan and the dragon Aspects, in the very last. The movie was first created in Karash's native German, and it took him about a year to get subtitles created in English.
In my opinion, the "Warden of Eternity" is pretty dang well made. Its panning shots, use of characters, and chosen models are all strong. The voice actors did a good job. I actually really enjoyed the fact that it was in German, because that language really sounds right coming from dragons and epic characters. (Maybe it's the old Rammstein fan in me.)
I do, however, wish the pacing were a little faster. It drags on a tad. This gives you plenty of time to soak in the happenings and the scenery, but I don't need quite that much time. Overall, a very solid movie, and I hope Karash continues to make more.

It's a real pity that people don't comment more on Karash's movies.
I mean, didn't he also do the "Revenge of Akama" movie?
You can tell he puts a lot of work into his movies and it's sad that people pass this over. I mean, is it because it's german? Gimme a break.
German's an awesome language, by the way.

I don't know why this is the first one I have seen of his movies, but very well done. Thank you Michael for featuring it.

Just a post note; I was wrong, Revenge of Akama was done by Fal Bulon. However, that still doesn't change the fact that this movie deserves a watch through.

I really liked it. Since German is my first language, I noticed that the song at the end of his movie, describes the hardship of the Warden of Eternity. I believe it was specifically written for this. It would be nice to know who the artist is.

Holy hole in a donut Batman, I think this movie had more silent pauses then in all of Evangelion.
But that aside, it was a really enjoyable movie. The video & model editing job was really nicely done. While I don't speak German the voices were clear and their tones seemed to match the characters. I espically liked the voices of the dragons.
I definitely hope he continues to make more videos, and would love to see others make lore-related movies as well.

Moving, evocative stuff. I appreciate the voicework as well, despite my not speaking the tongue.
Keeping my eye on this creator...

I thoroughly enjoyed this as I'm a lore nerd myself. It was awesome to have a visual to these historical events. I sincerely hopes he makes more of these lore-driven videos. It's very nice to see. ^^

I appreciate all the friendly compliments as well as the constructive critc, a good author enjoys every opinion on his movie. :)
The song for the ending was written by Cuirina(who's also synchronized Maiev), a very talented singer and it was indeed recorded exclusively for the video. In the song she (Maiev) sings about her hardships and describes her emotional emptiness, in case anyone cares, the song can be downloaded on Cuirina's website: http://cuirina.de/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=23&Itemid=46&lang=de
Thanks for the feedback, looking forward to another project sometime! o/
