How is Lunar Festival going for you?
Lunar Festival has been ongoing for awhile now, and still has about a week left. It's one of the longer holidays in Azeroth, so there's ample time to complete all of your achievements or just experience the seasonal content. Despite that... well, I haven't done any of it yet. All the time in the world, and I'll probably be running around trying to get it done the night before everything disappears until next year, just for completion's sake.Achievements are all fine and good, but I'm having a hard time getting up and doing things with this holiday. It's unusual, because it was one of the first holidays that I was genuinely interested in back when they implemented it. It was fun hunting down all of the coins and getting the cool clothes and vanity items, but now? Not really diggin' it. Sure, the first time was fun, but the holiday hasn't really changed since then. There are some new Elders in Northrend, but that doesn't really count, does it?
How is the holiday going for all of you guys, though? I suspect some of you are in the same spot as me, but I know a lot of people are super excited about doing all of it as well. Have you finished your achievements? Working on them slow and steady? Not going to bother?

I really do want to achieve my Elder title, but I just can't seem to get around to running around the entire world and exploring a dozen or so dungeons to do so. As of right now, I've about 20 or so coins but I'm sure that number will skyrocket this weekend.

If there's an achievement to not do ANY seasonal quests EVER, then I'm all over that. They are dumb and boring.
But, please don't stop them, cause they keep other people occupied and out of my way.

Still not back on line with a computer with WoW, so I think I will miss most of this one. If I do get back on, probably not worth it to pursue

Boring as shit.

I get coins here and there whenever I'm in the area, other than that haven't bothered with too much of the festival activities (besides the fireworks achievements and killing the summoned raid boss). Unique holiday, I'm just not incredibly interested in spending time filling out the "checklist".

i missed out on getting omen the first day or two of the festival, so that will probably be the toughest part to get done now. other than that, i'm just missing the elder in azjol-nerub. stupid spiders.

I finished my elder achievements two weeks ago, now I am a old man and well...is there much left to do? I see no attacks on Horde Cities for Elders and achievements (There were enormous ones at the beginning of the festival) and everyone and their cousin has killed Omen...so the festival is water under the bridge now for just about everyone. The whole thing died down after a couple weeks, like every other Holiday (Except for Feast o' Winter, that dies down and comes back up once presents can be opened)

Yeah same here.
Once I got all my Elders and got my Elder title it was back to the normal grind for Heroic gear and raiding. I killed Omen after 2 hours of the event being open, my friend tried doing it today, he said it was hard to find atleast 10 people to do, let alone 40.

I've almost got it all done, but as I'm more of a PvP'er then a PvE'er and seem to be allergic to instanced raids and 5 mans (Group Leaders don't seem to want me to do things my way) I'm running aground against the Northrend half of Elders of the Dungeons. No one seems to just want to do a run for the elder. Beyond that, I'm waiting for a Wintergrasp win so I can grab the last Elder for the Northrend achievement. It'd be nice if Blizzard let us solo'ers get a few of these titles too, ya know.

@ SaintStryfe
DOH!
Why didn't I think of that? I've been begging my server for groups all week.
BAH!
Thank you for your genius!

Got Elder title a couple of days ago. Wasn't the hardest meta achievement yet.
RetPallyJil Feb 4th 2009 6:52PM
That's "Elder" RetPallyJil to you lazy bums.
I got gypped on the Squashling and Brewfest Mount, so I have to work it on the remaining holidays.
I WILL have that proto-drake.

It's annoying that Lunar Festival is so long, and Love is in the Air is so short. Especially with a US holiday that some of us have to deal with.
moonwaves182 Feb 4th 2009 6:56PM
I'm done with elders of horde, alliance (I'm horde so that one was annoying), Kalimdor, Eastern kingdoms, Omen, rocket's red glare, frenzied firecracker and lunar festival finery. I'm really annoyed that, becuase i'm only lvl 75, i cannot get the heroic dungeon acheivments. I've got not one title, only a couple acheivments away from each of the holiday titles though :-( And i know i'm not going to be able to get a holiday title till i am 80, so i'm sad
Frank Feb 4th 2009 7:32PM
me too.

Firestride Feb 4th 2009 6:56PM
I wanted the title BAD, so I freaked out and did everything in the first 36 hours. It was my first time through the holiday, though, and coincided with me running a bunch of old dungeons for fun anyways, so that worked out. Druid stealth also let me get 3 of the Northrend dungeon elders done outside of a group, too.
All the rep put me darn close to Ambassador, too, which I just finished up yesterday. Those were the only two titles I ever had interest in, and the Lunar Festival gave me both.
Gregarred Feb 4th 2009 7:07PM
As a solo'er with no guild backing, this achivement is impossible to get. PUG-ing northrend dungeons is redonkulous.
Addtionally I'm only level 78, so I can't clear the heroic.
Sucks that I can put in all the legwork, yet not get the achievement because of 5-10 coins.
I guess there's always next year... if I'm motivated.
MrM Feb 4th 2009 7:39PM
The Lunar festival bores me...I don't care to run around collecting coins. Maybe I'm just one of the few who is only happy getting sweet lootz. I got my Champion of the Frozen Waste Title which was cool, but I would never go after one that didn't involve raids
Robert Feb 4th 2009 7:03PM
As a newer player, this is my first Lunar Festival, and it's kind of underwhelming compared to the other holidays I've seen.
