DanH. I might have found you logic dispositve two years ago, but I don't today. The problem is that leveling to 60 doesn't mean what it once did. A man wiser than me said recently on his blog that Blizzard seems to have forgotten that the content from level 1-60 is what attracted most of its current user base. Now that content is mostly neglected. Many of the changes in 3.0 were precisely designed to help players level up faster, and Blizzard has made clear that this tend will continue. Given the ease with which people can level though 1-60 today, I just don't find you comment "and the first 60 levels are as much part of the game as the last 20." to be persuasive. It's true in theory, but it doesn't reflect the way Blizzard is approaching the game today.
