They have every right to prevent outside programs from abusing the game. The effect of bots on the game is adverse to the way that Blizzard feels the game should be played. I see a lot of talk here about being a "precedent setting" decision, however have yet to see much about it in the legal industry blogs - which tells me that this is not as likely to be as important as wowinsider makes it out to be.
