One Boss Leaves: Drakkari Colossus vs. King Ymiron

The first Wrath boss death match of this season saw Keristrasza clawing opponent Cyanigosa with three-quarters of readers voting for the victor. This week's match, King Ymiron (Utgarde Pinnacle) vs. Drakkari Colossus (Zuldrak), turned out equally one-sided. Eighty percent of readers handed the match to King Ymiron, although 4% did speculate that a balanced fight on neutral territory could produce a draw.
"King Ymiron would DPS Colossus into water elemental, and the poisons would stack," mused Meethan, "but once he hit 25%, the stun would take effect and Ymiron would move away from it, beginning in a new position. The new-found abilities in the longboats would totally destroy Colossus, even if it did have the intelligence to walk away. Don't get me wrong; it'd be close. Ymiron might have to fly back a few times because of elemental. The poisons would be a problem only until he activated the boats. Ymiron wins."

Later today, we'll post the full brackets for the first round of Wrath's five-man boss match-ups. Still later, we'll move forward into the next match on our list. Get ready to rumble!

Does anyone really care about these columns? I mean, the silly TV shows that inspired this kinda thing have died a well deserved death -- shouldn't this lame schtick go too? This provides nothing -- no game information, no news about the game, nothing social, nothing artistic.

Gotta agree with Chris, here. This is the kind of stuff that SportsCenter does during the summer, when the only thing going is mid-season MLB (now even more boring and meaningless than mid-season NBA!) but they still have to fill up an hour of airtime.
15 Minutes of Fame and WoW Rookie are interesting and useful (sometimes even for non-rookies like me), respectively. Let Lisa stick to those. [1. Local] and this "my boss can beat up your boss" crap are both pretty pointless.

Scrolling past articles that you don't find interesting must be extremely painful, I'm sure.
I may be in the minority here, but I don't particularly care about whether or not an article about WoW is "pointless". I'm reading this to pass time on the way to work; if I were searching for a deep and meaningful article, this isn't the place I'd be looking.
Just relax and let people enjoy what they will.
Who's to say what is worth reading about and what isn't? This is a game that attracts people with a fairly diverse spectrum of interests, and you can't please everyone. If it doesn't interest you, don't read it.

Unless the next fight is a 51/49 win... I'm going to totally lose interest in the obvious winners and poorly chosen match ups.
Not that I had much interest to being with... but not even enough interest to click the "read" link from my RSS reader
