Two Bosses Enter: Ormorok the Tree-Shaper vs. Meathook

Leaving Drakkari Colossus licking its wounds from Week Two's tussle with King Ymiron, Two Bosses Enter moves on to the next matchup in our current season: Ormorok the Tree-Shaper (The Nexus) versus Meathook (The Culling of Stratholme).
The basics: Assume that each boss has approximately the same level, health and damage output as the other and that they're fighting in neutral territory. We're out to debate the three S's: Style, Story and Scale. Don't get caught up in game dynamics of each in-game encounter. Consider the flavor each villainous gladiator brings to bear, and cast your vote for who you think would come out on top.
Week Three: Meathook (The Culling of Stratholme) vs. Ormorok the Tree-Shaper (The Nexus)
Meathook (The Culling of Stratholme)Meathook, an abomination we suspect may be related by blood (or maybe just staples) to our old friend Stitches, arrives ready for battle with a pack of zombies. For this matchup with Ormorok, we're going to let his little friends help out (should they choose to – would you trust a zombie?).
- Disease Expulsion
- Constricting Chains
- Frenzy at low health; undispellable
Ormorok the Tree-Shaper (The Nexus)It's thought that Ormorok and his creations were captured and put into the Nexus to serve as guards. Ormorok himself is the sentinel to one part of Keristrasza's prison. Over time, exposure to the Nexus' massive Arcane energies has rendered Ormorok and his creations completely mad.
Ormorok summons assistants of his own, which we'll allow for this battle (just as we're allowing Meathook his zombies). Ormorok plays rough during battle with Trample and Crystal Spikes, and he deploys Spell Reflection up to four times. Like his opponent, he Frenzies near the end of a battle.
The smackdown
Remember: no game-mechanic nitpicking. Vote for the spirit of the battle as set forth above. Set aside differences in opponents' health pools, game level and actual damage output, and size up these villains based on their fighting style.

Who will it be, Meathook or Ormorok? Come back next Thursday morning, as One Boss Leaves ...

First!
Ohhhhh this is a bloody good one..... hard to say, although i think Ormorok.
DragonFireKai Feb 6th 2009 4:56AM
Look at it this way. Ormorok is basically a tree. That thing in Meathooks main left hand, is basically a large axe.
TIMBER!
Ted Feb 6th 2009 4:38PM
Please no more first.
Maybe the axe gets caught on a crystal. One guy farts, the other guy tramples, call it even.
Falcon Feb 5th 2009 6:06PM
Meathook will rip apart Ormorok the Tree-Shaper no doubt
Asuva Feb 5th 2009 6:07PM
Meathook will win. Every 15 sec he will stun Omorok for a good 5 sec with his chains and even without frenzy he hits like a truck. The zombies he comes with will burn Omorok down a bit before they die to the spikes but Meathook will obviously win :)
Asuva Feb 5th 2009 6:12PM
Oh and Omorok would be stunlocked for 1/3 of the entire battle. I think Meathook would get the upper edge considering the spikes Omorok has hit for 10k while Meathook hits about 20k before armor with regular melee
Bruce Feb 5th 2009 10:41PM
I think the chains will be a non-issue. They never hit the tank, only people lower down on the threat meter. Not sure what happens when there's only one opponent, but for sure once Ormorok spawns his adds, they'll be the ones getting chained.
Draykin Feb 5th 2009 6:08PM
I think Ormorok's Spell Reflect and Crystal Spikes give him the advantage here, plus being an ancient I think would give him in intellectual edge over a simple abomination.
Asuva Feb 5th 2009 6:09PM
But remeber, Omorok has gone crazy from all the arcane energies inside the nexus, isn't it possible that it could blurr his judgement and make him slip up?
Llothtank Feb 6th 2009 4:26AM
Agree, spell reflect and spikes give Oro the edge.
hiphophomies Feb 5th 2009 6:28PM
Yes to Draykin, spell reflect gives ormorok a clear edge in this one.
Ted Feb 6th 2009 4:39PM
What spell is he reflecting? Meathook aint casting no fireballs.
Draykin Feb 6th 2009 10:21PM
He's reflecting the corrosive disease because the other spell, his chains, are physical.
The Elitist Jerk Feb 5th 2009 7:13PM
Huh? These two are bosses?
I must've missed the patch note that said so.
Elexiari Feb 5th 2009 6:09PM
Let's face it, crystalline structure beats fleshling... assuming those chains don't hit a fracture point.
Jon Feb 5th 2009 6:10PM
I've Ignited myself so many times I can't even grow eyebrows anymore. Ormorok for sure.
blkmasta55555 Feb 5th 2009 6:13PM
I think Ormorok, because he's bigger and made from magically-infused rock.
"Nooo!" "New toy-" *SQUISH*
Draykin Feb 5th 2009 6:14PM
@Asuza:
Even then, he still has spell reflect for the diseases and crystal spikes for the other adds.
Asuva Feb 5th 2009 6:18PM
Yes but Omorok is stunned for a a third of the battle which is pretty significant. The crystal spikes hit for about 10k BEFORE armor. The ghouls would have to take about 5 spikes to die. Meathook hits way harder than Omorok and Omorok's adds really really suck.
Draykin Feb 5th 2009 6:24PM
"Set aside differences in opponents' health pools, game level and actual damage output, and size up these villains based on their fighting style."
We're not suppose to be going on numbers though, we're suppose to be going on fighting style, mindless ghouls and abominations won't realize that an crystal spike is about to impale them until it's too late.
