But since he was AFK, I would have killed him, then gotten the kitty. Then promptly kill his ass with the new kitty when he rezzed.

Then again, I'm on a PVP server, and I recall camping for Humar (out in the barrens) back when he was really unique, and getting sapped by a rogue every time I started to cast tame beast. I would die from the cat, rez, and try again.
The rogue finally killed Humar, then me, and left. 3 days later I finally got my cat, but had to kill 4 other horde to get it.

Basically, tell the Mrs. grats, and not to worry her pretty little head. The cat will respawn, the orc will get his chance to afk again.
