Patch 3.0.9 Mirror [Updated]
Mirror, mirror on the wall... who has the bestist mirrors of them all?Big Download has mirrored patch 3.0.9 for everyone. We've got localizations up for the EU WoW as well (English, German, Spanish, French, and Russian). Remember that you need to have WoW updated to patch 3.0.8a in order to install patch 3.0.9. Big Download also has those files available.
Patch 3.0.9 contains a few changes, and is a postscript to patch 3.0.8 and patch 3.0.8a.
We're expecting the patch 3.1 PTR to drop anytime.
Updated 2:24 p.m. EST: You can also now get the Mac client (enUS only).
As usual, please do not post links to other mirror sites in the comments. We cannot verify their integrity. We do this for your safety!

Downtime extended 2 hours :(
1pm pst is the new estimate.

Download the patch while you wait on 2 hours of more maintenance. Sucks for those of use in Uniform in EU and Iraqi/Afghani time zones. Means down time from noon to 10pm.

I guess I have two more hours to to be "productive".

Has anyone ever experience such a slow download as to warrant these mirrors on such small patches? It seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through for a 2 minute download.
Strahl Feb 10th 2009 1:28PM
Haha, yeah. Having Blizzard use bit torrent means that there's thousands of seeds out there to download from so its not like theyre going to be overloaded with connections. However, back when I was in college (the same applies to anybody that doesnt have control over their firewall/internet access), I needed a place to be able to directly download the patch and then apply it because the downloader wouldnt be able to establish a connection with peers.
Quickshiv Feb 10th 2009 1:30PM
Good point. If you are somewhere that blocks torrent then a mirror would be useful.
Adam Holisky Feb 10th 2009 1:47PM
Yes.
My ISP appears to limit torrent traffic. I cannot download at more than a few kilobytes a second, while people 200 miles away from me are getting it at 500+.
I know several other people in my situation.

"omg first"
to what?
Seriously, to what? To get voted down - cuz this adds nothing to the post? So... because someone replied to you, they're first to reply to you, and that makes me what omg SECOND! Or maybe omg THIRD! or omg FOURTH since maybe people might have also got the idea to reply.
And unforunately having to reply to this means I don't really add much either except! to express my contempt for people who post "first" and then leave it at that without adding anything of merit.

Anyone know of a site that mirrors the Mac client?
Andy Akins Feb 10th 2009 2:01PM
Ack - should have read the whole article - what a noob thing to do. Please don't post links, like WoWInsider asked. If anyone knows the name of some sites that have the Mac client, I'll google the URL.
Adam Holisky Feb 10th 2009 2:25PM
We've got a Mac mirror up now. =)
Kolo Feb 10th 2009 6:25PM

So basically only a link to your sister site on the Weblongs Inc. Network is okay? Hehe. I know it's for safety, but it also seemed convenient to link only to there, and not to fileplanet or anywhere else that hosts mirrors safely.
