"In order to cast a totem spell, the appropriate totem must be in the Shaman's inventory."Actually, isn't this one still true?

Actually, it's not.I discovered that on the week end when I decided to put them in the bank. I was thrilled to find that I no longer needed them to cast my spells. So no you don't need totems in your bags anymore. And with the glyphs for water walking, water breathing and change to renewed life taking away the need for the anhk, you effectively gain 7 free bag slots.Awesome in my opnion.

Hmmm - just tried it on my 28 shaman and it didn't work for me. Apparently the manual still applies to me.According to WowWiki and people earlier in this thread, you can dump your other totems only if you have an item that says it "Counts as an Air, Earth, Fire, and Water Totem". (Other people have said it's any totem relic item, even the ones that don't have that text.) That's still awesome once you get one of those totems, though!

I stand corrected. It appears that if you have a relic that replaces the totems, you don't need them. Apologies for the mislead.
