And what happens when you get lured in to a fully cleared instance by a jerk. Or if you just need something in an empty heroic, like an elder. Cleared and saved. Although Heroics aren't the issue, it's the best example...

What happens when you get invited into a group, down a boss, and get kicked from the group for someone's friend? Or, they just needed a Druid Healer/Tank or DK Tank for that one boss.

There is no perfect solution to this problem.

However, in your case, I would say that people would have to manually synchronize themselves to a particular instance (either by group or individual), to match their bossIDs, and, before doing so, will be prompted what bosses have been cleared. If everyone has downed a boss, all the trash leading to that boss and the boss itself will despawn (by leaving the instance and "resetting" it).
