There's been a lot of chatter lately about Love is in the Air. Some achievements necessary to get the Fool for Love aren't exactly working as expected (at least for us players). But we've got you covered.After the break you'll find a concise listing of what you need to know to get the Fool for Love achievement done, as well as pointers to other places to look for more information. Don't forget to check back here and send us a tip if you notice things amiss.
And remember, you only have until Sunday to finish everything up. And if you're like me Saturday night will be a solid no-WoW night, so you probably need to do everything tonight and tomorrow night. Unless of course Kara Thrace is your other girlfriend, in which case Friday night is out too.

The Bouquet of Red Roses is no longer part of the holiday achievement. Let me rephrase and state very clearly:
In order to get My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose you just need to obtain the Bouquet of Ebon Roses – NOT the Bouquet of Red Roses. You can get the Bouquet of Ebon Roses from:
- Maiden of Grief in the Halls of Stone
- Prince Keleseth in Utgarde Keep
- Prince Taldaram in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom.
Everyone loves Stormwind Harbor. But it's had too much love. So much so that if you give a guard a Love Token they'll give you jack squat in return.
So don't give any Stomrwind Harbor guards Love Tokens and you'll be just fine.
I Pitied The Fool and Naxxramas
There has been a lot of confusion, and many players have incorrectly reported that you can earn part of the I Pitied The Fool achievement by dropping your targeting dummy outside Naxxramas. You can't. You have to go into the instance and drop it. The same applies to The Culling of Stratholme.

Sorry 5 damn days is not enough. Like many of the people who have a significant other we will be busy all weekend. At least give it a 7 day time frame.

I'm not sure if this was just my miscalculations but for Shafted, I think I got credited for attempting to shoot some one who went out of range before the arrow actually went out. I thought I only got 10 Arrows but after getting the achievement completed, I still had 2. Obviously I couldn't check this since I got the Achievement already.

From what I've seen, you get credit for shooting the arrow once you start casting it. Meaning that if you target someone, use the arrow, and then cancel the cast before it finishes, you can get credit for it without actually exhausting the arrows themselves.
So theoretically, you only need a single arrow and a single valid target to get the achievement if you time it correctly.
That's the rumor anyway. Personally I haven't had to test it out because I have excessive amounts of the things and haven't needed to try and exploit the timing.

I believe you are correct here. On my last one I shot and BAM the achievement showed up - even though the scroll bar was still moving. I wouldn't think lag would be the answer since RIGHT when I hit the button the achievement popped up.
I believe that the scroll bar is there for looks only on this one.

Just ran UK several times on Rose runs. The Red Roses dropped from the boss once!! Not sure if this was some weird bug on Blizzard's part, but my group member got the achievement.

You're not the only one - a guildmate has seen the red roses drop twice from the UK boss.

I ran regular UK 4 times tonight and 2 times our group got ebon roses, but the other two times we got red. The red roses are definitely still around, although I've seen multiple sites mentioning that they are gone this year. Just FYI.

I don't get this. I want the black dress. I can't get the dress. I don't care about the candy. First two bags I start this thing off with have the candy and bam, quick cheese-mint. Everyone else has enough dresses to start a boutique and are clamoring for the candy.
The storyline quests were DEFINITELY not worth the other dress though. >:/

So we were just farming the prince for roses in Utgarde and he kept dropping red bouquets (non heroic) this was tonight. Got the achievement tied to them too.
This dropped 3x in a row.

Ran regular UK six times today farming roses for guildies. First four times Ebon Roses dropped, fifth time we saw Red Roses, on the sixth it went back to Ebon. The guildie who grabbed the Red still got the achievement.

Quick question since i'm not that into raiding: Does zoning into Naxx and /pity save you for Naxx? I never really get my head around that saving thing. Fact is i got saved to VH hc one day without anyone doing any damage which i thought was the criteria for getting saved.

no, you won't get saved. a Raid ID isn't created untill you kill a boss. you will get saved to that Raid ID if you zone in and the Raid Leader is already saved by killing a boss.

Could we please have guide on how to get the bag of candies.
Because I for one, really am getting frustrated with zero bags of candies after hours and hours of trying.
RNG hates me. And if I ever do get a bag. I'd probably be smacked with another round of RNG to get the right candies.
And there's only a couple more days to go. I do need to sleep in RL yanno.

Actually, you can get your achievement through red roses, they just don't drop from the old bosses any more. I went with 2 of my guildies to farm up 3 boquets in reg UK and on the 3rd kill the red bouquet dropped. Also of interest is that if you already have the ebon bouquet, you'll automatically pass on the ebon one, but not the red one, I almost hit greed thinking it was a random green.

Yeah i know this is WOW 101 but don't speak to guards if your bag is full, you will get adored but no gift :(

The Stormwind Harbor Guard glitch means that if you talk to them, you will get the adored buff and will not a gift. That one was pretty lame.
I am feeling pretty lucky now, even though I haven't got the pet or picnic basket. I did get the candy achievement without too much trouble. I got all but one candy on my first bag and then got the last one I needed on the very last candy of my second bag.
I have to say this is a pretty tedious event for the achievements. I've done all of the active stuff so now I just have my main parked in Darnassus and get a gift every hour hoping the things I need for the remaining achievements available to me will drop. I'm not even bothering with the /pity one since I'm not 80 yet, so of course I've gotten about 9000 love fools. -___-
