There won't be a DPS shortage, DPS is the spotlight position, the sportscar, the pro-athelete (whatever you want to call it).

My guess is that we'll see a lot of healers and tanks actually off-spec and use that DPS gear they've been picking up "just in case". Maybe some of those ret pallies will off-spec to use that healing gear they picked up "just in case."

What I think we'll see is that a lot of people will come to find out that, while they might be good at the part of the game they've been playing for a long time, they suck at the parts they've not tried.
