if you as a warrior, where your most admirable skill is to be a tank, why on earth would you be anything but a tank/dps combo?except selfishness, or the lack of taking on a role of responsibility, i loath people who all they roll is dps, after dps, after dps...(alts)especially when they cant get it right the first time?if you have the capablitily, you should have one spec as heals / or tank, dps is pure 'im the only one that matters'~ yeah, im getting tired of in guild shinnanagansthey can find their own damn healer / tank - one guy working on his 4th DPS toon O.0thanks for thinking of us!

How dare someone play a role they like and not one that they dont? The selfishness..

is this a mmo? or a solo gamewhere does one draw the line as a gl/rland you are correct!! play what you want....but dont cry over a tank or a healer shortage, if your not prepared to deliver some help in returnthanks troll, your proving my point about the general mental state of dps class

Please don't think i'm a troll just for having a different opinion to you. I've never moaned about a lack of healers, i don't enjoy playing as one so i don't, but i have friends that enjoy playing them and do. I agree there is a shortage, but maybe that's more down to game mechanics than "everyone is a lazy idiot that shirks responsibility"?As for your gl/rl point, well i'd consider myself a casual player so i havn't come into this situation myself but if you're recruiting a class that has the capability to heal/tank do you stipulate that they may be required to respec if the guild needs it? and do you enforce it?

I completely agree with this. However I made poor decisions to level two dps classes simultaneously a year ago, and as of now I have a 71 lock and 80 hunter. (This is on one server, on the other i got smart and rolled a druid, now she is a 80 resto). So...yeah I agree it sucks, but few people really want to stop what they are doing, and reroll a 'proper' group/raiding class (healers or tanks), and spend months leveling it, just to get into raid content. I've thought about it alot. It sucks, but you deal the hand your dealt (or you've dealt). People who play 10-20 hours a week don't really have the time to reroll a needed class.I thought about rolling a DK, and probably will, but 1/3 to 1/4 of our guild is 80 DKs.What blizz should have done is release a healer hero class as well as a tank hero class, so if your guild needs a healer you can spare months of leveling boredom. That said, i 100% agree with the mentality of those who level alt after alt of dps classes then beg to go on instance runs. However, it's just a reality in casual guilds there will be far to few healers and tanks. We have one of the largest on our server, 100 accounts, still the number of 80 healers is 3 to 5, and the number of 80 tanks is 3 to 5, versus the dozens of dps classes. My own feeling is that dual-spec will do little to alleavate tank/heal shortages. If people wanted to they could tank or heal right now, but in general they are just too lazy/uninterested in those aspects of the game.

ChillIf you don't enjoy a game, why would you play it?If you don't enjoy a role, why would you play it?I just don't see the point in playing a game where your guild/whatever forces you to play a role you aren't interested in playing.

Casuals should be able to play a warrior if they want to. You shouldn't require at least 4 more people to play any class effectively.
