Seriously now, why are we still talking about FFB as the raid spec...http://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft/wiki/SampleOutputCaster18/51/0 (+2) It's more DPS than FFB, still has sorch and gives 3% spell crit to another person(mage) in the raid.I'll have that and a pvp frost spec.

The amount of hit you have to put on this spec to make it worth is just the amount of spellpower you can put on frostfire to make it almost the same or even better dps and if you end up raididing on a bad day with no spriest or boomkin for the hit debuff its even more terribad.I'd like to hear more about it, is there anyone that reached the hit cap for this build alone all the way up to 17% stacking hit on your gear and can for sure say that this extra hit wouldn't be put to better use if turned into spellpower for FFb?

this is very intriguing. I'll need to do some numbers testing of my own

The script on the simulator gives the 20/51/00 actor less haste and more hit. There are two trinkets that will boost you by 3% hit, one from VH and one from Nax25. The spec also seems to favour haste more than crit. It's down side is less good AoE.

You don't need to have capped spell hit in order for a fireball spec to overtake frostfire, unless a DK is providing the Rune of Razorice debuff changed in 3.1 anyway. You could be 3% spellhit down, or even have optimal frostfire gear, and frostfire still does worse than fireball with that very same gear. Try importing your character into Rawr sometime and check for yourself.
