For better or worse, the Love is in the Air festival is over. Though there was much wringing of hands over the drop rate of the Bags of Candies, the location of Red Roses and enforced hour downtime between Pledge looting, many players managed to procure the title "Love Fool." Others are busily scribbling hate mail to Blizzard about how they are never going to get their Violet proto-drake because of this. (Pro tip: We're not Blizzard so please don't send it to us. Really. No, really.)I managed to snag my title early Sunday evening after finally getting my last candy heart and then shamelessly /shouting in front of the Ironforge Auction House to mend broken hearts. This is the first festival I've achieved a title though I can't tell you why I chose this one. Probably because there was no PvP involved. Which will take me out of the running for the Children's Week achievement that involves no less than 2 PvP activities.
Enough about me. Did you get what you wanted out this event?

Forgot to add that despite 2 bags of candies and something like 15 picnic baskets, I didn't once see the pet nor the dress on any of my characters :(

Got all but [Be Mine!], which i missed by one candy.
i got 7/8 from one bag... oh well. at lest there arn't any events for a couple weeks.

I got changed into a dress, put on my finest Judgement Crown, got stoned, danced in Stormwind and kissed a dwarf.

I fortunately was able to compelete everything (don't have Peddlefoot, but I didn't have my hopes up about that..) My biggest problem were the Love Rockets (though I did enjoy showing them to my non wow friends). My computer always decided to have a lag attack while going for the achievment. I had to enroll the help of my non-WoW (maybe even anti-WoW) bf to get it. I had him spam the keyboard while I spammed the mouse. We did it with a good amount of time to spare. At that point, I was jumping around the room laughing and giggling, while he sat there and shook his head. :) Oh..and I had no problem with candy, though I went through a whole bag without a pull that I needed...got it on the 3rd.

But i got everything finished up on V-Day... grabbing perma-peddle as my last ach. All in all i ended up gettins about 5 bags of candy, 2 dresses, 2 Picnics baskets and countless rockets/pedals etc.
Seemed really easy to me... maybe i'm just lucky?

Also missed the title by one stinkin' piece of candy.
Through it all, I think I got 3-4 picnic baskets, 4-5 black dresses, about 30 love fools, and only 1 bag of candy until 7:58 a.m. this morning when I got a 2nd bag. I only needed 3 candies, and having 10 chances, I thought, "Oh ya, I'll get this". Ended up only getting 2 of the ones I needed, ending with just "All yours" left.
I don't mind random-based achievements, but I do mind them issuing titles based on random-based achievements. A title should be something you work for, not roll a die for.
I really think we need to hand out titles like "CEO of Blizzard" using a RNG and see how they like it.

I finally got mine Sunday afternoon after staying up most of the weekend for it. The bag of candy was my boon as well as I needed only one to get the achievement. I got it like I said but i'm still irritated by the nature of this achievement.

I got the title but i still have 4 horde gift collection on my bags! Pass out yesterday before returning it. Dam i hate myself now. At least i got the title but i was aiming for the perma pet!

I got the title, but didn't get that stupid pet drop. Oh well, got the important part done.
Now for Blizz to just fix the problem with the Brewfest requirement. Shouldn't be any holiday achievement for Meta that can't be done during the holiday event.

I'm so mad...we had so much time for the elders, I was getting my last elder the last day, plus our guild gutted itself and all of us best players took the free server transfer to start a new, so I didn't get to start right away on this. And I got boned. Plus, the RNG hated me. I kept getting the same item over and over...and I did it almost every hour...even waking up at odd times last night to do it! But then it was to late :(

Missed it by one candy, Spent most of the weekend attempting to get that last candy but didnt see a bag of candy since Saturday morning.
I think the Bag drop rate was much lower then posted.

I probably should've seen this coming, but I was very unlucky with the candy bags for about 3 days. After getting my second bag (and the title), the next day I got about 5 candy bags when I didn't need them anymore :p
No Peddlefeet pet, sadly.

Those bagged candies are quite a *****. Only thing keeping me from the Love Fool.... I guess I'll stick with elder till next event and stick with my Wyvern till next year.

since you have to be level 80 to complete all the achievements, i knew i wouldn't complete it this year, and i'm good with that. i'm amazed to read how many people had trouble with the candy -- that was one of the achievements i actually did complete. i guess i made good headway for next year, all in all.

Got my title saturday before V-day dinner. This was an extremely frustrating and discouraging holiday event. I got 4 picnic baskets, 2 dresses, 20 love fools...spent way too much time logging in and looking for the bags of candy.
The worst part was making a post in the WoW forums in frustration. People in the WoW forums are a snide hateful bunch from what I've seen.

I almost quit playing WoW because of the Official Forums. The least helpful forum on the whole worldwide internet. Very, very scary place. Although I recently found out that the Crafting Forum isn't so bad.

I got my first bag of candy on Friday afternoon it gave me 7/8 words, and then spent all day Saturday trying to finish that achievement. I did end up getting it at about 3:00 AM. During that time I got a gift every single hour, on the hour. I got peddlefeet, the dress, and a picnic basket in that time... but even when I got those I was disappointed it wasn't a bag of candy. It took me 3 bags to get the final piece, I somehow lucked out and got two bags in a row at the end, both from the fishing trainer in ORG.
Even though I am "The Love Fool" I feel horrible for those who didn't get lucky, this was a terrible holiday.
