AAARRRRGGHHHHHH!!!! I had one candy to get! Was trying every hour, on the hour, all day Sunday to get that last damned candy, BUT NOOOOOOO!!!! If only I'd had another day, but some of us have to work! :(

Which is the sort of stupid thing about how blizzard goes about things with "randomness" involved. What they really ought to do is require things like 5 out of 7 candies or something on that level. They already do that on some achievements so it's not like it's some technical issue.

Same here. Logged on each hour, got 3 bags of candy, but still missing 1 heart. I enjoyed all of it except the candy, which I think really should have been available some other way. Or at least make it a "get 6 of 8" or "get 4 of 8 and give all 8 away" kind of thing. These double-random number generator-based achievements are pretty lame.

I'm sure if people qq enough, Blizz will just hand out Violet drakes for free. It's just the next step in their dumbing down of the game.Sucks RNG kept you from completing the achievement, but there's always next year...

Same. Missed it by one: "You're the best!"

same... 1 candy left. /facepalmand not due to lack of effort. Last night i damn near passed out at my keyboard tryin' to stay awake for .. one.. more.. hour. Was upset... and still am. I don't know what bothers me more... the disappointment for putting this much effort to only be thwarted by randomness, or the fact that I took it even remotely seriously. :( I enjoy the seasonal events because they bring a lot of folks out to interact with each other. It's fun. Unfortunately, when random factors end up killing the grand year long achievement, it takes the wind out of my sails for doing anything for the rest of the year. /shrugI got 5 baskets in a row though! /sigh

@ Blake said...I'm sure if people qq enough, Blizz will just hand out Violet drakes for free. It's just the next step in their dumbing down of the game.Sucks RNG kept you from completing the achievement, but there's always next year..___________________You seriously believe that it's fair to make someone wait another year because of an RNG system that was faulty to begin with? Midway into the event Blizzard claimed to up the drop rate with the candy -a hot fix, my friend -which should hint to you that something was wrong already. You're the QQer who got lucky, got their achievement done (or even worse, you're one of those who didn't care, didn't get the achievement done and yet it bothers you that others might want to get it done and be given a fair chance at it.) After a year of wait, 2 years for those who didn't bother to do Brewfest or simply weren't on for it, people have EARNED the right to have that mount. So what if they get faster mounts in a year's worth of time, they've earned it.Oh right, the RNG f***ed them over. How the hell can you earn something you have no control over? Luck should have no place in an EARNED event.Dumbing down the game because people want mounts that currently are only available to the top pvpers is laughabe at best. If anything pve-ers deserve a chance at fast mounts too... kinda doesn't make sense to give it to pvpers who only pvp... not like they can fight on their mounts.
