Upper Deck hosts a Spectral Safari event for the WoW minis game

They've just sent us the list of where the events are taking place, so if there's a tournament going on near you (there are locations all over the world), now's the time to make your plans. The game is a lot of fun -- it's kind of a cross between a turn-based strategy game (in that both players take turns with their characters to move and attack) and Arena battles (in that you move around on a field using the various abilities and weapons available to your character's class). An event like this is a great way to check it out and possibly even win some prizes for playing well.

Hells no! Last time i tried to go to one of these events i traveled to Austin with a group of friends (only two of us were going to play). We had the best cards at the time and were ready to kick butt. The night before the tournament we stayed at a friends apartment and i decided to leave our cards and my psp and our GPS in my car, it was a gated community, what could happen? Well the next morning we wake up to find that my car (among many) had been broken in too. They stole all our cards and stuff, even ate my warhead candies i had in the car and left the wrappers all over the seats. Except for so reason the left behind a little card box full of my alliance cards that i dont play with, FOR THE HORDE, plus there was 65 bucks in that box they missed. So i dont play that game no more!! We spent the money we were gonna spend on the game on repairing my car :(

Your fault for being a complete retard and leaving expensive items in a car, in a neighborhood you knew nothing about.

You do know the Spectral Safari event from last year was a sealed deck event, right? You wouldnt have been able to play with your constructed decks for that tournament anyways - LOL.

The problem with this type of event is that the tiger goes to the winner, and unless you play competitively and weekly, you have no chance to walk in and win. I'm thinking about going and playing for the next month to try and win one, but otherwise you have no shot. I used to play heroclix competitively before WoW, and I would wipe the floor with people who just showed up for these regional tourneys expecting to have a shot because they played at home with some friends.
