Forum Post of the Day: Get your mum to draw the Lich King

Adding your mom's worldly wisdom to any situation always makes it better, and clearly the EU forums agree with this sentiment! Elbonio of the European WoW forums wants you to ask your mum to draw the Lich King, even if she's never seen him before. If she asks what he looks like, just ask her to draw what she thinks he'd look like.
I'm pretty sure I've seen this meme before, on the SomethingAwful forums, replacing Arthas with Homer Simpson, but the results are still pretty hilarious. Elbonio's been kind enough to compile a gallery of the kid-tested, mother-approved images that resulted from the experiment.
If you get your mom or significant other to do it, but don't have an EU forum account, feel free to post it in the comments below and I'll assemble them for laughs at a later date.
What are you waiting for? Go ask! But be nice, because after all, she's your mum.

My mother can't draw...arthritis. It's the same thing that keeps her from playing videogames. She still hasn't returned the artbook from the collectors edition of WotLK though. I have to get that back sometime.

I just spent 30 min looking through these pics, and I'm amazed that the blues even bothered to get their parents to draw the Lich King. (Heck, I'm amazed they have parents!)

I'm 25 but I still have a mum...
And if, sadly, your mum isn't around any more you can get anyone else who doesn't play WoW to draw him.
Grandparents work quite well, as do kid brother/sisters.
If you are not seeing family anytime soon then neighbours, co-workers or anyone else may be substituted for your mum.
Generally though "older" and younger folk work best.

I admit, I read this post this morning and knew it would be perfect. My mother loves to do artwork and portraits, so I cheated and showed her a picture of Arthas.

Yeah Nick it was featured on wow-europe front page when I first made the thread a couple of weeks ago.
And Hoggersbud if you post your mum/sister/gran/dad's picture into the thread I will edit it onto the cover for you.
For added amusement try and get them to draw mario too - it's amazing how many different variations of fat Italian plumber can come about from it!

Apparently "Lich" is kind of like what she imagines the german word for "licking" would be.

This reminds me of when my friends mum ordered us our copies of Wrath. She approached the guy at the videogames store and asked for "Wrath of the Lion King". lol
