WoW EU previews Ulduar
We've been waiting not-very-patiently for news on Ulduar and patch 3.1, and the WoW EU website certainly delivered today. A preview for Ulduar has been posted, with some descriptions of the early raid encounters and a little more lore flavor for the zone itself. The very beginning of the preview gives a little setup for the zone: "Some thought it a city, built to herald the glory of its makers; some thought it a vault containing innumerable treasures, perhaps even relics of the mighty Titans themselves. They were wrong. Beyond its gates lies no city, no treasure vault, no final answer to the Titan's mysteries. All that awaits those who dare set foot in Ulduar is a horror even the Titans could not, would not destroy, an evil they merely... contained."
Awesome? I would say so. The preview also drives the point home that Blizzard is really loving the hard mode options of encounters. 11 out of 14 encounters will have a hard mode (or modes), so your raid can determine what they can handle. I don't want to get too excited about the preview, I'd like to see the zone in person before I get giddy, but it does sound damn cool and the pictures they supply are very pretty. Go forth and devour their bandwidth, my friends.
Need more news about Ulduar? We've got updates, previews, speculation, and everything else you need to know about the next big raid coming in patch 3.1. If the Titans are hiding it up there, we'll tell you about it here.

When you're dealing with a fantasy world, real world science doesn't always apply. A stag and an eyeball got it on to make Cenarius and we're all ok with that, but Thorium can't be C'Thun blood. That's just crazy talk :)
To me it makes an interesting idea. All of the common metals of Azeroth are remnents/excretions/droppings of old gods and rare ore nodes are blood shed from titans while fighting them. You got saronite from Yogg-Saron who's in Ulduar which makes thorium from C'Thun who's in Uldum not too far fetched. I bet during the War of the Ancients Yig, Nug and Yeb were secretly sneaking up to the Well of Eternity and blammo!!! The sundering sends pieces of them all over Azeroth thus supplying the world with copper, tin and iron.
Just a thought.

F**!$^g Vehicles! There is nothing worse than vehicles in WoW! I'd rater get ganked all day long by some rogue or DK than stuggle with those vehicles. Why o why, can I not target anything?! Tab does nothing, F1 does nothing, I have to manually click the screen to target other vehicles or myself, F That. Even clicking on a persons raid portrait on the screen does not even target them, WTF.
Remove all vehicles from WoW. They are nothing but a GIMMICK, and one that doesn't work either.

I love and am disappointed by vehicles. In wintergrasp there fun and they work for what there trying to accomplish which I think is a very very casual pvp. But if you've been promoting that the next new instance will provide a challenge for end game guilds im sure this isnt what they envisioned. I dont doubt difficulty but take myself, I recently got my origin of nightmares staff and getting tier'd out and by introducing vehicles I feel abit... gimped. But you know what, we dont know the full story perhaps the entrance is the only vehicles and the rest of the dungeon is all on foot. heres hoping.

I love all this QQing about stuff that isn't even implemented. How about we leave game development to the Pros and just enjoy the damn game. When did it turn into Us vs. Blizzard. Its not like Vehicles are that hard, so how about we just sit back, smoke a J and enjoy our freetime.

I believe implementing some encounters based on vehicular combat won´t harm anybody. It´s a future patch. It might be possible for Blizzard to tune the encounters or the vehicular combat, might it be UI optimization or else.
Furthermore....no gear check=more chances for the players with suboptimal itemisation to get some needed upgrades.
Just my 2 cents.

I really hope this raid is something special. I love the big raids with a ton of bosses that take hours to do. It was how I envisioned them before I ever raided.
Naxxramas is just a retuned rehash of a raid done years ago and Vault, OS, and Malygos are essentially all one boss/one room raids with little to no trash. I have been rather disappointed with the available raids thus far.
I hope it's a bit more difficult than the current raids too. Vault and Naxx are a joke. OS is only difficult if you leave drakes up and even then it takes all 3 drakes to make it a good challenge. Malygos is not hard if you just pay a little bit of attention.
Please Blizz. This raid already looks like it's going to be lengthy but please also make it definitely harder than current raids.
