Jay in Oregon is more or less right, although I'd express it in less hostile terms.Hard Modes are the equivalent of doing a boss encounter with one hand tied behind your back. The fact that you get *recognition* for doing things with one hand tied behind your back doesn't change the fact that you're doing them with one hand tied behind your back. For a lot of people I think it feels like a gimmick.I actually have a lot of sympathy for the "hardcore" raiders who want raiding to be off-limits to less experienced players. Us casuals have the whole pre-80 game to play around in, by rushing us into raid content, all Blizzard does is stop us from appreciating the rest of the game.
