Oh well guess what. They are optional. TA DAA.
Nobody is making you do Oculus, EoE, or even Ulduar.
I resent that you think the game needs to be toned down because you're apparently slow to react and learn to 5 new skills, each mirroring skills that you should have already come accross.

Nobody is making you level a toon to 80 or complete the major questlines in Northrend either.
There is a world of difference between a raid being *challenging* and a raid demanding that you play a stupid minigame you don't like.

Gregor, it sure sounds like the vehicle bit is not optional if you want to experience the rest of the raid. If you're not into raiding or you like vehicle gameplay, thats fine, but If the focus of your WoW hobby is raiding, its really disappointing to hear that a good chunk of your raid time will be wasted on a mini-game.

I raid plenty thank you and am PvE specced 99% of the time.
Now, wasted on a mini-game? This boss is going to drop high level rewards right? So where's this "wasted" word coming in? You're being daft if you think its wasted.
And mini game... if WoW had been released with this vehicle combat a part of the original gameplay you wouldn't be calling it a mini-game. You'd be thinking of it as part of the gameplay.
And if they had time I'm sure they'd have implemented it back then. But they didn't. They couldn't. So suddenly they've implemented what must have been an old idea, and its a mini-game? This IS part of the game.
