I'm not ashamed to be new to the game. When I have questions, get stuck, I use the web, call IRL friends who play.
I don't ask ingame using chat. I know I hate being interrupted with "join my guild!" or duel challenges from players 15+ lvls higher than mine. Heck, my lvl is so low I'm obviously grinding away to build up! Unless you're helping me or playing *with* me.
When I meet other high-level players of my class in my area, I send them a mail - in character. I always get a good response. It's not immediate. But it's polite and they can respond when it's convenient for them.
I'm surprised more people don't use the mail.
