I always enjoy helping people. I started WoW four years ago as a complete and utter MMO noob (when I was about to log out for the first time, I asked my friend where the save point was...true story). I learned because people were able to point me in the direction of some great resources (Petopia, Thottbot back in the day, Wowhead). No, I won't run you through RFC or give you gold- that's doing your work for you. But I'm happy to loan a hand to point someone in the direction of Mankrik's wife or show them how to get to the zeppelin if they ask nicely.

In two words: be brief and polite. Charm will get you everywhere, dear noobs.
