My approach to asking zone-oriented questions is:
1. Ask in Guild first
2. Ask in the zone's General next
3. Only ask once each time.
Then it's time for Wowwiki or Wowhead.
If you need detailed class-oriented or skill-oriented help, I strongly recommend the following:
1. Go to General City chat
2. Make an open-ended request for help: "advice needed from raid-geared lock - please wsp"
3. Usually someone is nice enough to respond and you can ask your question with confidence.
